It’s strange when you really stop and think about it… we don’t always feel the depth of love while we’re actually in it. We’re busy, distracted, sometimes moaning about what’s not working, what’s been said, what hasn’t been said. Love is there, but it gets buried under everyday life and all the noise that comes with it.
Then something shifts. A relationship changes, a breakup happens, a death, distance comes in, or life just takes a different turn. And suddenly… it hits you properly. Not clearer in a nice, gentle way — clearer like “oh… that’s what that was.” The love, the connection, what that person really meant to you. Not because it’s new, but because everything else has dropped away and you’re actually seeing it without all the rubbish on top.
So maybe it’s not about waiting for life to force that awareness on us… maybe it’s about noticing it now, while we’re still here, still in it. Because one way or another, life will shift — and when it does, you’ll feel something. The question is… do you really want to wait until then?
