Ramadan Mubarak! 🌙 May Allah accept all our fasts, prayers, duaas, intentions, and all our good deeds. As we’ve been blessed with another month of Ramadan, inshaAllah we’re able to honour it in the way that it deserves to be and we’re able to use it to bring us closer to Allah, this month and beyond 🤲

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven”. [Bukhari]

May Allah forgive all our past, present and future sins, hidden and apparent, sins that we committed intentionally and unintentionally, willingly and unwillingly, and sins which we are aware of and those of which we are not.

🇵🇸 As we make duaa for ourselves, remember to keep our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and all the Muslims around the world, in your duaas too. May Allah forgive them, protect them, grant them victory, and grant those that have passed away Jannatul Firdous. Ameen.

Established in August 1998, MM has grown to become one of the largest, most active societies at Imperial, benefiting those within our walls and beyond, and for many of us, it has become like a family.

It is through the efforts, vision and dedication of everyone - all our volunteers, members, and committees - that we’ve been growing and have continued to expand our streams: Education, Outreach & Wellbeing, and PotMed.

We hope to see more of you at our events to join us in an exciting year ahead!

May Allah reward the intentions and efforts of our previous, current, and future committees, subcommittees and volunteers. May Allah continue to grant us ease and success, keep us on the right path, and allow us to benefit many more people in the future!

Are you an organised, passionate medic who wants to help the next generation of medics? If so, then MM has just the opportunity for you!

We’re looking for two capable individuals who can organise a day of talks, mock interviews, personal statement reviews, BMAT workshops and more to assist prospective medics in securing their place at medical school.

This role entails:
• Organising and ensuring the smooth running of our PotMed Conference in late September.
• Recruiting and overseeing a subcommittee and delegating tasks.
• Liaising with schools to publicise and drive attendance.
• Managing the logistics of the event day

Sound like something you're interested in? Submit your application of no more than 500 words to mis@ic.ac.uk! You must be currently 2nd year or above to apply. There are two positions available, and applicants will be assessed on an individual basis.

Introducing -Salam Institute's short course on the sciences of hadith with Shaykh Akram Nadwi, renowned hadith scholar and one of the world's leading Islamic thinkers.

Muqaddimah of Ibn al-Salah, is a well-known intermediate level text on the science of Usul al-hadith. Uthman b. ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Salah al-Shahrazuri was a Kurdish-Iraqi scholar who specialised in hadith studies. He is known to have held notable teaching positions in various centres of learning in the Muslim world, including in Damascus, Syria and Jerusalem, Palestine.

For students familiar with the Arabic language and who have covered beginners texts in hadith methodology, this course provides an excellent opportunity to further one's understanding of the hadith sciences.
