A fantastic honour that His Majesty the King invested me as a Knight Commander into the 200 year old Order of Chivalry, the Order of St Michael and St George at Windsor Castle on Tuesday 9th July 2024 for services to business, sport and charity.

As a lad from Penzance, Cornwall who found myself playing rugby and growing produce in Kenya, I never expected to get any honour, let alone a Knighthood.

There have been many words and speeches and thanks since this was announced in the New Year's Honours list 2024, but I must say again, thank you, to all who built companies and clubs with me, and especially to my fantastic wife and children who have been the greatest support of all.

Winning never gets old, and it keeps me young. Cornish Pirates beat London Scottish to finish second in the English Rugby Championship for the 2023-24 season, twelfth highest in English Rugby Union, our HIGHEST POSITION EVER !!!!!!

I am surprised and honoured to be given this prestigious award from my old university, King's College London.

At King's I learnt engineering, and I played rugby. That has been the formula for my life.

Could you do 50 press ups in tandem with someone else while clapping their hands - No, me neither. This is insane from Jimmy Choi - Fox Ninja and Alex Goulding and even more so since Jimmy was diagnosed with Parkinsons over 20 years ago. He's a serious hero of mine.
