When I work with fertility clients, one of the key areas I always assess is immune system health.
Some signs of immune overload are obvious - digestive issues, painful periods, hay fever, frequent colds, sinus issues, migraines, UTIs or cystitis.
â¨But just as often, there may be no clear symptoms at all.
For implantation to occur, the immune system needs to be calm, balanced, and adaptable.
â¨Early pregnancy involves a genetically unique embryo implanting, so the immune systemâs role is to accept this and allow its presence.
If the immune system is already under strain - from inflammation, gut issues, high stress, or ongoing triggers - it may struggle to shift into that supportive mode.
This is why Iâm so thorough when supporting clients and understanding the health of their microbiome.
â¨The gut is home to trillions of microorganisms that communicate directly with the immune system. When these microbes are balanced and supportive, they help regulate immune responses. When theyâre out of balance, they can keep the immune system on high alert.
Supporting immune and gut health is about helping the body feel safe enough to support pregnancy đ¤
