They give themselves a hard time for feeling lonely, anxious, worthless, or if they are unhappy in a relationship or struggling to cope with their family life. Most people don't identify with having mental illness and thus don't get the help they need and feel worse until it does become a serious mental health issue and results in a visit to the doctor.
