Takes about 5 minutes to make.
Macros (approx):
• 500 kcal
• 32g protein
• 47g carbs
• 14g fats
Ingredients:
* 200g 0% Greek yoghurt
* 1 scoop SciTec whey (vanilla)
* 30g granola
* 50g raspberries
* 50g blueberries
* 1 sliced strawberry
* 5g honey

After having her second child, Janine wanted to get back into a routine and feel like herself again.

Like a lot of people, she was doing what she could around a busy schedule but needed a clear structure as progress was feeling slow.

Now she’s 7kg down, stronger, and back enjoying training again.

Well done to my client Johnny who took top spot in my March client challenge. Blane Valley

During march he went to the gym 4 times per week, tracked my fitness pal every day and walked 15k+ steps each day, and lost 2kg of body fat.

Notable shout out also to my client Alan C Harper who also achieved the completion points tally. During March he has lost 2 inches around his waist and has noticed clothes being a lot looser now.

Why does carb/ glycogen intake affect your body fat result?

For fat loss the goal should be to eat the correct amount of carbs to give you energy to train but also not too much as to inhibit fat burning.

Too many carbs = muscle past max storage point and over spill to fat storage = increased weight, increased body fat, and increased body fat %

Too little carbs = no energy to train, weight down, muscles flat with less stored glycogen and water = % of body fat up.
(Every 1g glycogen stored also draws 3g water to the muscle)

The best plan of attack is to select best guesstimate number, do weekly check ins and adjust as required and via trial and error you will reach your optimum number

CLIENT MARCH CHALLENGE

My March client challenge is well underway everyone is working towards a target of 120 points across March.

Points can be earned by doing the things that actually drive results:

• 5 points – weights workout
• 5 points – cardio session
• 5 points – hitting daily nutrition targets
• 5 points – achieving a PB in the gym

The aim is to build consistency on training and nutrition. Points mean prizes ( prize being results 😂).

No ridic diets.
No unrealistic goals, SMART goals only!
Just stacking points / small wins every day to build good habits!

By the end of the month that consistency will add up to real progress.

Starting at 69.6kg on May 3rd, she's worked incredibly hard to get down to 59kg! That's a total loss of 10.6kg (1 stone 10 lbs) 🎉. All whilst finishing her masters, taking further courses and travelling for her new role in medical research.

"When in a calorie deficit, I've swapped rice for cauliflower rice!” 🌾

🍚 With little difference in taste ,it helps maintain her macros and calories. For example, 100g of cooked rice has around 130 calories and 28g of carbs, whereas the same amount of cauliflower rice only contains about 25 calories and 5g of carbs! 😮 That's a significant difference!

You can also add seasoning. Deficit is about choices. Yes you can keep rice in, but if you want to eat more volume this is a great alternative! 🍛💪 "
