In a world full of treatments and procedures to “improve” your appearance, why does it seem that so many people have overdone it?

👉🏼 There’s actually a reason: it’s called perception drift.

Perception drift is a term coined to describe what happens inside your brain when you regularly partake in procedures or treatments to change your physical appearance.

It seems harmless enough, but each time you change your face, your brain “resets” your perception of how you look. 🤯

And with that new baseline, your brain forgets your original face and finds new things to “fix.”

It’s vital for cosmetic practitioners to recognize when further treatments are unnecessary, particularly if a client’s perception has significantly drifted from their original appearance.

When choosing a professional for cosmetic procedures, it’s essential to select someone who genuinely prioritises your wellbeing and can guide you wisely, especially in situations where saying “no” to further treatments is in your best interest.
