As friends we discovered various family members, including parents were suffering from a variety of ailments, both physical and mental which treatments available via the NHS were unable to alleviate.

After some research one of our directors suggested to his mum, who suffers with chronic arthritis to give CBD / H**p oil a try. Previously she had tried everything the NHS had to offer so she thought “why not”?

Within 2 weeks of taking the recommended daily dosage she noticed an improvement. Within a month there was an unmistakable undeniable and significant improvement.

Further research followed and we discovered all cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the body by attaching to certain receptors. The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It also has two receptors for cannabinoids, called the CB1 receptors and CB2 receptors.

CB1 receptors are present throughout the body, but many are in the brain.

The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and movement, pain, emotions, and mood, thinking, appetite, and memories, and other functions.

CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. They affect Inflammation and pain.

Researchers once believed that CBD attached to these CB2 receptors, but it now appears that CBD does not attach directly to either receptor.

Instead, it seems to direct the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.

This led another director to recommend trying CBD / H**p oil to a relative who suffered from anxiety. Again, the pattern repeated itself. An improvement in 2 weeks which be came a significant improvement in around 4-5 weeks.

As the weeks became months we as a group of friends began sourcing various oils, creams etc for an ever growing circle of friends, family and acquaintances suffering with various issues and almost all noticed improvement.

CBD / H**p oil’s dont appear to yet be recognised by all in medicine as a “proven” treatment however the anecdotal evidence is growing that CBD / H**p oils treat and improve a growing number of physical and mental issues very successfully

We finally decided as friends that there was an opportunity, indeed a duty for us to try to take CBD / H**p to a wider audience hence the beginnings of our business.

From CBD / H**p it seemed a natural progression to move into the V**e arena.
