REACH for YOGA I am a yoga teacher on a mission to prove everyone has time for yogic self-care! I also offer beautifully crafted meditations & yoga Nidra.

Having transformed my own mental health through the discovery of meditation, yoga & all it's wisdom, I share nourishing, online & in-person yoga classes & courses. I work with small groups, as well as 1 to 1, allowing the yoga to meet you where you are at.

Stepping into a new month with Reach For Yoga…FEBRUARY…shedding light on “OPENING” in our yoga classes.

Focusing on opening physically, mentally & emotionally.

Using breath-work, gentle movement & stillness.

Open yourself up to self-discovery & self-awareness.

Using this in-between time (between the ending of Winter & the arrival of Spring) to release & open up space ready for all the new potential & possibilities of the months ahead, as the Spring energy rises to propel us forward.🌱☀️

I am meeting, working & sharing yoga & sound with so many fabulous people!🙏🏽

It’s been such a great experience meeting with all the people interested in 1 to 1 sound therapy sessions over the past couple of weeks.

A privilege to share what’s going on for them & humbling to hear what shared experiences we have as humans living in these times.🧡

And I love the conversations we have over coffee, after yoga…especially when it reveals how the yoga is touching people’s lives in noticeable & positive ways.☕️🌟

It’s always heart-warming & affirming when students give feedback on their experiences.

There were such great responses to using the gong to relax to at the end of this month’s Yin Yoga & Sound session.🤎

This week has my heart feeling full.💝🙏🏽

In Yin Yoga, poses are held longer, meeting stillness…gently stressing connective tissues, fascia & joints.
This creates space in the physical & in the energetic body.

After time spent in stillness in the pose, there is the ‘rebound’, where softness is found & where the body gets to respond, integrate & reset.

The stillness found in the poses & in the rebounds is where we can experience practicing PRESENCE … cultivating & practicing more self-awareness…getting to know ourselves…body & mind…more intimately.🤎🧡

By practicing staying with, feeling & listening to sensations, we experience how physical, emotional & energetic sensations are deeply connected.

In Yin Yoga there is no rushing past sensation.
There is the opportunity to let yourself meet yourself where you are.

Allow yourself to stay in Winter’s protective energy. ❄️

Ease yourself through this first month of the year.

Slow your pace down…uni-task rather than multi-task. 🐌

Catch yourself when you find yourself rushing onto the next thing!

Savour the moments you normally rush through & start noticing what you would otherwise miss.👀

I turn 60 this year & I’m determined to savour as much of this last year in my fifties as I can!!
Not because I am feeling resistant to moving into the next decade of my life, but because I’m wise-ing up to appreciating living in the here & now.🧡🤎
