It focuses on simple, practical energy healing, emphasizing the detection of toxins (Byosen) and addressing both physical and emotional/psychological issues.

Key Aspects of Jikiden Reiki
Definition: "Jikiden" translates to "directly handed down," representing a direct lineage from Japanese teachers without Western adaptations.

Origin: It is based on the teachings received by Chiyoko Yamaguchi from Chujiro Hayashi in the 1930s.

Core Philosophy: The approach is simple, focusing on enhancing the body's natural healing systems rather than incorporating modern, non-traditional elements.
Byosen: A central technique in Jikiden Reiki is detecting Byosen, or areas in the body where toxins or energy blockages have accumulated, allowing practitioners to focus treatment effectively.

Psychological Treatment: Jikiden Reiki includes specific methods to address emotional or psychological problems by reaching the subconscious mind.
Training Levels: The system is taught in two main levels: Shoden (beginner) and Okuden (advanced).

Headquarters: The Jikiden Reiki Institute is located in Kyoto, Japan, with Tadao Yamaguchi serving as the representative.
Jikiden Reiki is often described as more direct and grounded, focusing heavily on hands-on healing, compared to some Western Reiki styles that may incorporate more spiritual or meditative elements.
