Recently, we embraced an animal-themed adventure! Residents were thrilled by a visit from Owl Obsession UK , getting up close with these amazing birds and learning fascinating facts about them 🦉✨

We also continued our weekly visit to support the socialising of a training guide dog 🐶💛 These visits are a highlight, bringing joy, companionship, and wonderful opportunities for social interaction.

Animals truly make our days brighter and hearts fuller! ❤️

There's nothing quite like gathering with friends and family during the Christmas season, and our Burnworthy House Christmas party was the perfect occasion! 🎄✨

With festive outfits, Christmas crackers, delicious party food, and plenty of sparkle, our residents and their loved ones had an amazing time celebrating together.

We've been having a blast getting creative with lots of festive crafts here! 🖌️💖

🎄✨ First up, we made some beautiful Christmas bunting, which has helped spread holiday cheer throughout our home. 🎉

🎈🎨 We also had fun making prints using various techniques, inspired by our recent visit to the museum! It was such a unique and playful way to create art and bring a little museum magic into our space.

The festive season is on its way, and we’ve been happily preparing! Our residents have been hard at work creating a handmade Christmas tree and baking mince pies to share. 🎄✨

We’re excited to continue getting everything ready for a magical festive season together.

A huge thank you to Paull's of Martock for this kind and beautiful Christmas tree donation. The tree now stands proudly outside our home, bringing festive cheer to everyone who passes by. 🎄

Your generosity has brightened our entrance and filled our community with Christmas spirit. We’re truly grateful! ❤️✨

Our residents have been enjoying a wonderful variety of craft activities recently, and we’re so proud of the creativity on display! 🎨

From leaf sticking and tracing inspired by the autumn season, to creating beautiful poppy pictures in honour of Remembrance, there’s been no shortage of colour and imagination in our home. 🍁✂️

And sometimes, the simplest activities bring the biggest smiles, like making a paper aeroplane and watching it soar! ✈️✨

Our residents have been busy enjoying a wonderful variety of activities that keep everyone smiling and connected. 💫

From hoop play and flower arranging, to button picture making, colouring, and dominoes, creativity and laughter have been in full bloom! 🎨🌸🎲

And of course, we can’t forget our much-loved fortnightly Staff vs. Residents & Families volleyball match 🏐💪 — full of friendly competition, team spirit, and lots of fun!

We had a fantastic time celebrating GWR’s 200 Years of Connections with a wonderful visit from Museum To You !🚉💛

The day was filled with laughter, great conversations, and plenty of nostalgia, reminding us that the railway has always been about bringing people closer together. ❤️
