📣 Private Services Now Live at Queensferry Pharmacy! 📣

We’re excited to launch our new Private Services, starting with:

💉 Weight management consultations
💉 Vitamin B12 Injections

These services are provided by our Prescribing Pharmacist, Megan, and will soon be supported by our wider pharmacy team as we continue to expand.

🔗 You can now book appointments via the link at the top of our page – full service information is available there.

✅ Please read the full service descriptions carefully before booking.

📝 If a pre-assessment form is required, this will be noted at the bottom of the service details and must be completed prior to your consultation.

📅 Throughout August, we’ll be releasing limited appointment availability through the booking link as we get these new services up and running for the community.

❗ Please note: No appointments will be available during the last week of August while Megan is on annual leave.

🚀 From 2nd September, we’ll be adding:

- More private services

- More bookable appointments, including private and NHS consultations, as part of our expanding clinical services.

Delivery update 🚗

Unfortunately over the course of this week our driver has been off sick. We have attempted to contact via phone all patient's who may be affected by this. All patient's who receive their medication in a medication aid such as a dosette box will still be delivered by the pharmacist or a member of staff.

• Monday to Friday
• Alternate Saturdays

🌸 Spring Bank Holiday Reminder 🌸

We will be closed all day on Monday 5th May for the Spring Bank Holiday.

💊 To avoid any disruption to your medication, please order your prescriptions early so you’re all set for the long weekend.

🌼 We’ll be open as normal on Saturday 3rd May from 9am to 5pm, and back open bright and early on Tuesday 6th May!

🌞 While we’re closed, if you need any medical advice or help, you can contact NHS 24 on 111 – they’re available 24/7.

📢 Exciting Update on Prescription Collections! 📢

We’re always looking for ways to improve our service, and we want to keep you informed about how we manage prescription collections from the surgery! 🏥💊

🔄 How It Works:

We collect prescriptions from the surgery twice a day – once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Here’s what this means for you:

🕔 Morning Pickup – If your prescription is collected in the morning, it will be ready for collection after 5 PM the same day.

🕛 Afternoon Pickup – If your prescription is collected in the afternoon, it will be ready before 12 PM (lunchtime) the following day.

📌 Bringing a Prescription Over?

If you bring a prescription to us after an appointment with a clinician, we will still process this at the time you bring it in – this usually takes only 5 to 10 minutes.

⚡ Urgent Prescriptions

If the doctors require you to receive your prescription urgently within the morning or afternoon pickup (e.g. antibiotics), this will be communicated to us and we will dispense these as a priority to ensure you receive your medication as soon as possible.

📲 Get Notified When Your Prescription is Ready!

With our new system, it’s easier than ever to know when your prescription is ready—saving you an extra trip or phone call. To ensure you receive a text once your medication is fully ready for collection, pop in or give us a call to add your mobile number to your record.

⏳ Please Wait for Your Text Before Collecting!

To allow our staff enough time to prepare your prescription and avoid any disappointment, please wait until you receive your text message before coming in to collect. This ensures your medication is ready and allows us to continue working safely and efficiently.

✅ This timeframe allows us to:
✔️ Order any medication we may not have on the shelves.
✔️ Ensure our staff can work safely and efficiently.
✔️ Make sure all medication is accurately dispensed and clinically checked for your safety.

📢 Exciting News from Queensferry Pharmacy! 📢

This weekend, we've introduced a new collection system to make picking up your prescriptions easier and more convenient! 🙌

💬 What’s New?
All patients who have provided us with their phone number will now receive a text message as soon as their prescription is ready for collection. Whether you’re picking up from our collection robot outside or coming into the pharmacy, you’ll receive a pincode in the message.

🔑 Important Information:

Collecting outside? If your text says “outside,” use the pincode at our collection robot to grab your prescription!

Collecting inside? If it says “in store,” simply bring your pincode in, and our friendly staff will quickly locate your prescription for you!

⏳ Please bear with us as we settle into this new system over the next week – we’re working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly!

Our goal is to provide even better service to the wonderful community of Queensferry. We’re excited about this upgrade and hope it makes your experience with us even better! 😊

🌟 We're Hiring: Pharmacy Dispenser! 🌟

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our team and are looking for a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our pharmacy family! No previous experience? No problem – we will be able to provide full training to the right candidate!

Hours:

Mon-Wed: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Thurs: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Fri: 8:45 AM - 6:00 PM
(Total 28.25 hrs per week)

Responsibilities:

- Assisting in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions
- Offering excellent customer service and support to our patients
- Ensuring medication is accurately labelled and stored
- Managing stock levels and keeping the dispensary organised
- Working closely with the dispensary team to provide high-quality care

We’re looking for someone with:

- A friendly and professional attitude
- An eagerness to learn and develop skills in pharmacy
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A team player mindset

This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in healthcare, and we will provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
