🌿 Stress Awareness Day 🌿

Today feels like a good moment to pause and acknowledge just how much stress can impact both body and mind — often in ways we don’t even notice until we slow down.

Chronic stress can show up as tight shoulders, headaches, poor sleep, low mood, digestive issues, or that constant feeling of being “switched on.” Our bodies are wise — they whisper before they shout — and those whispers are often invitations to rest, release, and reconnect.

Simple ways to help ease stress include:
✨ Deep breathing or short meditations throughout the day
✨ Getting outdoors and moving your body, even for ten minutes
✨ Nourishing yourself with good food and plenty of water
✨ Creating time for connection — with yourself, loved ones, or nature

Holistic treatments such as reflexology or Reiki can also help calm the nervous system, rebalance energy, and bring you gently back into your body. Sometimes it’s not about “doing” more, but allowing yourself to be — and letting your system find its natural rhythm again.

Even healers need healing sometimes 💛
The past couple of weeks reminded me how powerful rest, nourishment, and self-compassion truly are.

Simple things — lemon & ginger tea, soup made with love, and time in nature — can work the deepest magic 🌿

🌿 Taking a Pause 🌿

Well… it finally got me — I’ve come down with Covid. So I’m tucked up at home, doing my best to rest, hydrate, and let my body do its thing.

It’s not often I have to slow right down, but I’m taking it as a little nudge from the Universe to pause, breathe, and look after myself properly. Lots of sleep, herbal teas, nourishing food, Reiki, and fresh air when I can manage it.

All appointments are on hold while I recover, but I’ll be back when I’m feeling more like myself again. Thank you so much for your patience and kind messages 💗

If you’re also feeling run down — take it as your sign to stop and rest too. Our bodies are always whispering what they need. 🌙

Clare’s Story

My name is Clare Arnold and I set up Clare Arnold Therapies in 2017 in order to follow my passion for Holistic Complementary Therapies and to work more flexibly around childcare for my gorgeous wee boy. I first tried Complementary therapies when I experienced a very traumatic bereavement, it helped me to get through the depths of grief and become happy and whole again, along with the support of my GP, family and friends, yoga and running. I have since used Complementary Therapies to maintain my well-being, help me through conception and pregnancy, to relax and unwind from a stressful work environment or to simply enjoy a treat and time to myself and to age naturally well. I love being able to help others feel relaxed, re-energised and re-balanced and to look and feel their best. I initially trained in Complementary Therapies to satisfy my curiosity and see if it would help friends and family. Now it’s my passion, I see the holistic benefits the therapies bring to people - physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually.

I have over 25 years experience as a Nurse and Health Visitor.
