It ain’t in a forest… it IS at BREATHE on a Tuesday 6.30pm. Amazing class ~ amazing teacher.
🌳Is Forrest Yoga in a forest? has to be the most common question I get asked. No, well, at least not on a Tuesday in Autumn with me! It's in South Shields! 😉at Breathe
So what is it? It's a living yoga system developed by Ana Forrest, which means it's forever growing, developing and changing as new things are learned about the body.🪷
There are 5 main pillars:
🫁 Breath - learning pranayama helps to connect back into your body, into feeling with one's body and ignite a passion for living.
💪Strength - Intense core sequences and long pose holds generate heat and heighten the senses.
🫶Integrity - by working with the edges of your practice, particularly around physical and emotional injuries, you can develop tools to deal with fear and struggle.
💫Spirit - by connecting to the true spirit of who you are, you can create a sense of freedom and "courage to walk as your Spirit dictates.
In plain speak, that means classes:
🪷teach you how to breathe effectively in a way that can calm you and give you skills and techniques you can use in everyday life when you feel stressed or anxious.
🪷Classes are challenging to build strength, but you do not need to be strong or flexible. A class is for learning, remember!
🪷Classes offer a safe space and community for you to step away from your day-to-day. A time for you to reflect and connect to what you are feeling and what you actually want. What makes you happy, and who you really are at your core.
🪷 Classes offer guidance to practice in a way that cares for your body, working with injuries and whatever shape you may be.
