💜 NO FILTER – Women’s Health 💜

Bright Futures, invites women and girls aged 12+ to join us here at WHiST for “No Filter” a safe and supportive space to talk openly about women’s health and wellbeing with GP Ruth Aynsley.

If you’ve been putting off speaking to your GP, feel embarrassed asking questions, or need someone to listen, this event is for you. Come along to ask questions, get information, and speak in confidence with no judgement.

☀️ HOT WEATHER HEALTH ADVICE ☀️

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued Heat-Health Alerts across parts of England, reminding everyone to take extra care during warmer weather.

Please help keep yourself and others safe in the heat by following these simple tips:

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains and windows in sunny rooms
🧴 Wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothing if outside
🌳 Stay in the shade, especially between 11am and 3pm
🚶 Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day
👵 Check in on elderly neighbours, relatives and vulnerable people
🚨 Learn the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke

Older adults, young children and people with long-term health conditions can become unwell more quickly in hot weather.

If you feel dizzy, sick, weak or develop a headache, move to a cool place, drink fluids and seek advice if symptoms worsen.

Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly ☀️

Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties, so please ensure you stay hydrated in the sun, avoid known triggers like pollen and pollution, and always keep your inhaler with you.
