We are heartbroken to announce the sudden and tragic loss of Dylan’s life on Thursday the 21st May 2026 aged only 20 years old.

Losing Dylan has left a pain that words can not describe, his absence will forever affect his family and friends. It has left a space in all our hearts which can never truly be filled. He was and still is deeply loved and the memories we all share with him will be cherished. His loss has changed so many lives and he will never be forgotten.

Dylan was a deeply loved son to his mam Lynn, her partner George and his late father Mark. He was a caring younger brother to Ethan and adored by his twin brother Tyler as well as his baby brother Jacob. He was a treasured grandson to his Nana Trish, and a loved nephew to his uncles Lardy, Mikey and the late Raymond

Dylan’s memorial service will take place on Thursday 18th June 2026 at the South Shields Crematorium at 9:45am. This will be followed by a burial at Harton Cemetery at 10:30am to be reunited with his dad, Mark.

As a family request, there will be no formal dress code. Please feel free to dress comfortably; however, in honour of Dylan, we kindly ask that you wear something blue, as this was his favourite colour.

Anyone who wishes to pay their final respects is more than welcome to do so. If anyone would like to send flowers Dylan will be resting at Tynedale Family Funeral Directors South Shields. Please note this will be monitored via a password so anyone who wishes to visit him contact his family

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine “Cathy” Pyke, who sadly passed away on 14th May 2026, aged 87 years.

Cathy will be deeply missed by her loving sons Michael, Colin and Jef; daughters-in-law Carol and Paula; grandchildren Daniel, Sydney, Liam and Georgia; great-grandchildren Olly, Isla and Lucas; along with all family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her funeral service will take place on Friday 12th June 2026 at South Shields Crematorium at 1:15pm.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and can be received at the crematorium.

Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at The County Pub, South Shields.

Passed away peacefully on 14th May 2026, with her family by her side.

Adored wife of the late Gordon, devoted Mam to Heather and Linda, cherished Nanna to Graeme, Cheryl, Sam, Jack and Chloe, and beloved Great-Nanna to Mackenzie, Regan, Kelsey, Corey, Alfie, Kagan, Charlie, Ella and Nevaeh.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the life of our wonderful Mam and Nanna.

A service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, 10th June 2026 at South Shields Crematorium, followed by a gathering at The C**k Crow Inn to share memories of our much-loved Doreen.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Stroke Association at the crematorium.

Passed away peacefully 16th May, 2026 with family by his side, following a short illness aged 88 years . Beloved husband of Maureen and a devoted dad to Ged and David. Much loved Grandad, Father-in-Law, Step-Father and Uncle. John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warm smile, sense of humour and charismatic presence will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Requiem Mass is to be held at 10:15am, Friday 19th June at St Aloysius RC Church, Hebburn, followed by committal in Hebburn Cemetery at 11.30am.
Afterwards, family and friends are invited to The Iona Social Club, Hebburn to celebrate John’s life, share stories and raise a toast in honour of such a wonderful gentleman. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to SCOPE and SVP (The Society of St. Vincent de Paul).
The family would like to thank the staff of South Tyneside Hospital (Ward 10) and Roseway Care Home, Jarrow for the wonderful care shown to John and the family. Thanks also to the wider families and friends who have been so supportive throughout this time, including Fr Simon and the parishioners of St. Aloysius.
John will be resting at Tynedale Funeral home in Hebburn, if family and friends wish to pay their respects, in the week leading up to the funeral.

A much loved dad, granda and friend to many, whose laughter, fun and kind personality touched so many lives, locally.
Forever loved by daughters Tracey and Vicki, Stepson Wess, Jan, and all who knew him.
A religious service to celebrate his life will take place at:
All Saints Church, South Shields, on June 4th at 2.00pm.
Followed by a second Celebration of Life service at:
South Shields Crematorium at 2.45pm.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend both services.

We would like to inform family and friends that Davids final journey will take place on Tuesday 26th May 1.45pm at Saltwell Crematorium, Gateshead NE9 6DT followed by a celebration of his life at The Wardley club, Gateshead NE10 8AU.
We would like to request family flowers only please, but we welcome donations to The british heart foundation following the service.
We would also like to thank each and everyone for their support and love, cards and flowers. Very overwhelming but much appreciated it shows how very loved and missed David will be by us all.

Beloved partner of Julie, devoted dad to Emma, Chatt, Josh, Sammi, Kian, Jack and Bobby. A much loved father in law to Simon and a proud granda to Abbie, Ella, Olly, Liela and Carter.

Much loved son of Mary and the late Ronnie, cherished brother, uncle and friend to many.
