⚠️ If you stop your scroll for anything today - make it be this!

Because a common misconception for Skin Cancer as that it’ll probably look obvious. A dodgy looking mole or a crusty looking lesion

But to the naked eye - it’s very difficult to spot! You really need to understand your skin, what it’s doing & it’s normal behaviour!

My advice is simple. If you notice ANY changes in your skin, such as a new spot that doesn’t look like others, a sore that doesn’t heal or a mole that has changed in size, shape, or colour - get it checked!

I offer a screening service in clinic for this very purpose. It’s quick. It’s painless. And you’ll have, potentially life saving, answers within 24/48 hours!

⬆️ This is a patient of mine who, last year, took my advice that her lesion didn’t look right. She then had surgery for a Basal Cell Carcinoma.

This is a really good example of the type of typical work we do here in clinic - and it probably makes a change from seeing bigger lip augmentations on social media

This patient wanted more volume in her lips. It would be easy to steer her towards a multiple appointment process or millilitre after millilitre of product.

The real work, skill & talent comes from knowing to start small & see if anything more needs adding later down the line!

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month… so let’s have a proper chat about it 👇🏾

Most people think “skin cancer” just means one thing - but there are actually a few different types:
• Melanoma – the one we worry about most (less common, but more serious)
• Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) – very common, usually slow-growing
• Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) – also common, can spread if ignored

The tricky bit? They don’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s just a mole that’s changed slightly, a patch that won’t heal, or something that just looks a bit… off.

✨This is exactly why I offer mole screening in clinic using Map My Mole - it’s a quick, professional check that gives you peace of mind or flags anything that needs further investigation! Results are usually back within 24-48 hours!

⚠️ Honestly, most people leave it far too late because they’re “not sure” if it’s worth checking. If you’re questioning it, that’s your sign.
