DAY 7 Gratitude

A gratitude list is a compilation of things that you feel grateful for. It’s important to create one each day to remember to look at the positive side of things.

A gratitude list helps people with anxiety, depression, or any struggle in life remember to never lose hope. Things don’t always go as planned in life but even on your darkest days, there’s always something to be grateful for.

A great way to start is having a 'Highlight of the day' having something positive from each day can help create long lasting positive memories to look back on, in tough times.

What will your highlight of today be?

Day 6 - Practice some yoga!

Now you're talking... To name a few, the health benefits of yoga include: Stress reduction, improve fitness, better sleep, It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.

Here are a few of my top health benefits for all...

Yoga benefits heart health.
Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.
Try it: Downward Dog Pose
Get on all fours, then tuck your toes under and bring your sitting bones up, so that you make a triangle shape. Keep a slight bend in your knees, while lengthening your spine and tailbone.

Yoga helps you manage stress.
According to the National Institutes of Health, scientific evidence shows that yoga supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, weight loss and quality sleep.
Try It: Co**se Pose (Savasana)
Lie down with your limbs gently stretched out, away from the body, with your palms facing up. Try to clear your mind while breathing deeply. You can hold this pose for 5 to 15 minutes.

Yoga helps with back pain relief and arthritis.
Yoga is as good as basic stretching for easing pain and improving mobility in people with lower back pain. Most Physicians recommend yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain.
Try it: Cat-Cow Pose
Get on all fours, placing your palms underneath your shoulders and your knees underneath your hips. First, inhale, as you let your stomach drop down toward the floor. Then, exhale, as you draw your navel toward your spine, arching your spine like a cat stretching.

Why do we need water?
Water keeps our bodies working well and helps us stay fit and healthy.
We lose water every day when we sweat, breathe and go to the toilet.
This water needs to be replaced by drinking and eating.
Tips for staying hydrated
Being hydrated means giving your body the water it needs to work properly.
Drink about six to eight cups of water a day. Children under 8 years old should drink around four to six cups. Remember, we can also get water from what we eat and other drinks, like milk.
Drink more water on days when you are very active. For example, playing football, dancing or riding a bike all make your body lose more water.
Drink more on hot days. Your body loses more water when you sweat.
Drink with every meal. This is one easy way of adding more water into your day.
Keep a water bottle with you throughout the day.
Eat foods that contain a lot of water. Fruit and vegetables, such as strawberries and cucumbers, have a high water content. Eating soup is another way of keeping our bodies topped up with water.
