Just to let you all know I am currently doing well considering my diagnosis. Second chemo is on Friday. Had a spell in hospital and the tumour has grown in my lung. But despite that I am happy and feeling very good at this stage .

The tranquility cove is closed due to my ill health of stage 4 cancer.
I am temporarily keeping hold of the room but may have to let it go before Christmas if I don’t find I am stable for a length of time to enjoy teaching and doing sports massage again.

Just an update so you know how I am doing:

This amazing guy whom I have never met has decided to dedicate his sky dive to raise money for myself.
On June 21st I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer with spread to lymph nodes, spine, pelvis and r.femur. My confirm is incurable, but I am being offered treatment to try on a palliative care basis.
The money raised will go to replace my spiral star case to a normal staircase due to initially losing mobility as a tumour grew on my knee. I now have had a femur and knee replacement but walking will take time. Having a normal set of stairs means we can put a stair lift in to help when treatment may make me fatigued.
This act of kindness from a stranger has touched my heart. Please help him to succeed. Jamie Strakar. He dives on 1st Sep.

I have been a little quiet on here, and my business has been closed.

This is no easy post to write, and is not a post for sympathy or your apologies to what life as dealt me.

Just under 2wks ago on 21st June 2024. I was diagnosed with “stage 4 cancer in my left lung, and a lymph node ”, with a tumour in my R side spine, possibly pelvis (being investigated) and possibly my knee( being investigated). It all happened quickly from a cough and breathlessness starting on my birthday 5th April. 1in 2 people get Diagnosed at some point in their lifetime.

I am awaiting oncology and treatment options that may or may not be offered.

I then have the difficult task of deciding what’s best for me going forward.

My positives here.
Don’t take any day for granted: growing old is not a given right but a privilege. Make changes in your life if you are not happy. Don’t fester in anxiety and anger. Live every day like it’s your last. Only you can make positive changes to enjoy your life. No one else will.

I am grateful I have achieved my goal of having my own premises to run classes and masssge, even if only for a short while from Jan 2024.
I hope to come back to my business venture one day.
