We’re celebrating week. 💜 Music, entertainment and celebration 🎶 can bring small moments of joy that mean so much to service users! Well done to all our creating like these every day.

1. VE Day at Bure House included a 'We'll Meet Again' singalong - family and friends were invited to join in too. 🎵

2. Residents at Potters Court enjoyed karaoke and a disco at Easter. 🎤

3. St Patrick's Day at Nightingale Lodge included a quiz and a sip or two of Guinness. 💚

4. Matinee at The Maples - residents watched War Horse with popcorn and ice creams. 🍿

5. Granville Extra Care Scheme on the Wirral rang in the New Year with activities in the communal lounge, including bagpipe entertainment. 🎉

We’re celebrating week 💜 and our .🦸 Starting off strong with some inspiring and 📷 for

Peterborough branch team Helen, Rahul and Rebecca helped their client Ian move into his new home. 🏠Ian had no family to help out, so our branch stepped in, moving his furniture and belongings, hanging curtains and cleaning. As you can see he was thrilled!

East Lothian carer Vicky arranged for an 80th birthday card signed by all the Hearts FC players for her client, a life-long fan. ⚽

Our amazing team of RNs and carers supported a client in hospital, to meet her complex needs. During her stay there were power outages for hours at a time, meaning no lifts and minimal electricity. Our team climbed 7 flights of stairs, worked by torchlight and survived on custard creams and NHS coffee to support our client.💙

Carer Rukhsar called an ambulance for a client's wife after she had fallen. She alerted 999, informed families and sat with both the client and his wife until help arrived.💗

Our Colwyn Bay carers helped to distribute water during an unexpected water shortage. The team made sure none of our service users were left without water during the four-day incident. 💧

Teams battled the snow and ice to deliver care to our service users during a cold spell. They went on foot when they couldn't get their cars through the snow and took extra calls to ensure clients were reached. ❄️

One of our service users celebrated his 70th birthday with our Abergele branch with a fantastic surprise party - food, presents, singing and dancing! 🎂

Carers Sheryl, Jade, Brittany and Elisha from our South Tyneside branch brought some Christmas spirit to their client, providing a tree and decorations. She said "It's just made me so happy...It's amazing to feel this loved by my carers." 💜

Our regular visits can often be one of the few social interactions our service users have. We're proud to play a role in keeping people supported and connected 💜

Shout out to all our colleagues who are making a difference to our service users and their communities every day. But special mention this week goes to…

1. Our colleague Sharon (in the pink hoodie) who did Cancer Research UK Race for Life alongside friends and family. She is currently on her own cancer journey, but ran in memory of a colleague and friend who lost her own battle with cancer. Sharon raised £1300 - enough to fund new research for rare cancers. 💗
2. Peterborough branch team Helen, Rahul and Rebecca helped their client Ian move to his new home. 🏠 With no family to help out, our branch sourced donations and packed up their cars with Ian's belongings, helped him move in, and made it homely for him by hanging curtains and cleaning. As you can see he was thrilled! Well done all 😁
3. Colwyn Bay's Upuli celebrating her 1-year workaversary. Her team says she never fails to bring a smile to clients' faces.😀
4. Regional Trainer Joe who is a Cera Star ⭐ for his amazing training techniques - always making his sessions fun and engaging. Go Joe!
5. Oussama, who started at our Leeds branch in April and has impressed his colleagues with his dedication and connection with service users. Wow! Well done Oussama!👏
6. Julie our new care coordinator at our South Tyneside branch, who brings 40 years of care experience to the team. Welcome Julie😊
7. Our Maples residents who are always up to something! From seated ten-pin bowling to crafting 🎳

It may be the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, but that doesn’t stop mental health awareness continuing throughout the year. 💚

In May, our Colwyn Bay branch focused on mental health awareness, holding team meetings with mental health on the agenda, using information packs from the Mental Health Foundation to guide discussion. The team also wore green and received green ribbon badges, the international symbol of mental health awareness, worn to show support, or in memory of a loved one. Well done all. 👏

Branch Manager Cheryl said:
“I feel that mental health is a big thing in everyone's day-to-day life and affects so many of us. I think the staff knowing they have someone to talk to or just someone to listen to them helps, and it helps boost morale too. I had 30 out of 50 staff attend the meetings, which is great considering a lot of our team work shifts - and my team know my door is always open whenever they need anything."
