Happy Yule/Winter Solstice 🍃 It’s the longest night, the rebirth of the sun ☀️. Time for reflection & feasting. The darkest night calls for deep thought, meditation 🧘🏽‍♀️ & grounding. We had a family feast out & back to set up the alter. Pulled some cracking cards too, couldn’t be more apt for this phase of the wheel.

My tribe aka the witches, went to the beach today to celebrate Beltane, to meditate, release & manifest. We (successfully) hunted for lucky hag stones & blew away the cobwebs. Chilly feet but so much fun.

Card number 2: conclusions are within reach

Something that you have been asking or wondering about is about to come to its conclusion if it hasn’t already today. The crystal I chose to go with this card is a clear quartz which does make me wonder If you are about to let go of something or someone that was quite hard for you. Clear quartz is known as the master healer of the crystals and I would say if you we’re only going to own one crystal make it this one. It protects against negative energy and stimulates brighter and better feelings, it will help release any negative energy that’s dragging you down as it is such a good emotional pick me up. So combining this card with this crystal really says to me that it’s time for you to move on and get yourself back on track and back onto a better path. Whatever this conclusion might be, it happened for a reason and for the right reason and you should not let yourself dwell on the past because you can’t change that but you can learn from it and take that knowledge forward with you into the future. Endings can be uncomfortable but remember that after an ending there is a new beginning.

This is a card of beginnings. If you’ve been feeling some anxiety lately then what you need to know is that whatever is happening now is happening for your highest possible good, don’t fight it, be prepared that it might not necessarily be a wonderfully smooth ride but it is the right ride and it’s taking you exactly to where the universe knows you should be. If there’s something you’ve been asking or wondering lately and you’ve questioned the answer that you’ve come up with, this card is telling you to go for it, you can achieve whatever goal or dream you’ve been thinking about chasing. Trust your own intuition and stop making excuses as to why you could not or should not do something, you are having these thoughts or ideas for a reason So don’t let yourself talk you out of doing something you feel strongly about. Trust this change is right for you even if it does feel a little bit scary.
The crystal I chose to go with this card is a smoky quartz. Smoky quartz is a brilliant grounding stone. It’s a brilliant stone for personal growth and can help you overcome fears that are keeping you stuck and helps you ditch situations that are not serving your higher purpose. This stone is literally a tonic for your nerves, it can settle feelings of anxiety and fear and can help you calmly contemplate situations. This card and this crystal chosen together really emphasise for me that you need to put more trust in yourself and make a conscious effort to not create problems in your own head that are unnecessary. Trust. Trust yourself, your intuition and that things are working out for the best.

Card number 1: the answers you need are coming

If you’ve been feeling a bit dejected lately or wondering if some recent decisions that you’ve made were in fact not the right ones because things don’t seem to be working out as you had hoped, then stop fretting because it will all become clear. Not immediately but if you sit and take some time to clearly think about what you’re hoping for you will likely find that you’re just a conversation or action away from getting to the bottom of a situation. You need to have a good talk about it either with yourself or with someone else involved but it’s very important to stay clear headed and calm regarding whatever situation this might be. I feel like communication is the key here. Remember you can’t just expect something to change without doing anything about it. It is a very powerful full moon And if you’ve been holding onto something from the past that’s been weighing you down now is the Ideal time to address this. Are you asking the right questions? If you’ve got an issue with any kind of relationship at the moment, love, personal or at work don’t just sit back focusing on how you are being done wrong, communicate, ask this person why they felt they needed to act in that certain way and you might just find that there has been a misunderstanding along the way or that the other person has also felt wronged. Ultimately remember that answers only come from questions, communication, communication, communication!
The crystal I chose to go along with this card is an amethyst. Amethyst is known for bringing a sense of calm and clarity, which fits very nicely with what I said about needing to keep a clear head. It also works to keep negativity from clouding the mind and is a brilliant stone for helping in family and relationship dynamics because of its ability to help you keep a level head. Take this amethyst as a reminder that you have the inner sight, knowledge and wisdom you need to pick the right path to walk down. If you chose this card and you do own an amethyst keep it near you if you don’t already.

This is a powerful full moon, time to release and/or forgive, remember, it’s not only about releasing people or situations but about releasing negative or detrimental thoughts or ideas that you have in your mind about yourself as well.

This is why I choose the term ‘release’ over ‘forgive’. There is no point in using the word forgive in any ceremony, ritual or manifesting if you actually cannot, don’t feel ready or don’t want to. You can release yourself of the tie to that person & forgive yourself for taking on their negative or dark energies but you don’t have to forgive them. It’s all in the intention so if you say something and don’t mean it, it just won’t work.

This moon I was drawn to intuitively choose a crystal to go with each card. I chose the crystals for the cards before looking at the cards and wow, they paired up wonderfully.

There is definitely a theme this moon! Things are shifting and changing for us 🙌🏼
