Stay Warm This Winter with Nobilis Care’s Tips! ❄️🧣

Winter can be tough, but with a little preparation, you and your loved ones can stay cosy and safe. Here are our top tips for keeping warm:

🌡️ Layer Up!
Wear multiple layers of clothing, starting with thermal or moisture-wicking fabrics close to your skin. Don’t forget cosy socks and a warm hat!

🔥 Keep Your Home Warm:
Set your thermostat to at least (20°C). Seal windows and doors to prevent drafts, and use insulated curtains to keep the heat in.

☕ Stay Nourished and Hydrated:
Eat warm meals and drink hot beverages like tea or soup to maintain your body temperature. Staying hydrated is just as important in winter!

🧣 Bundle Up Outdoors:
If you need to go out, wear a heavy coat, scarf, gloves, and boots with good traction. Stay covered to avoid exposure to cold winds.

🌟 From Care Assistant to Operations Director: A Journey of Growth and Purpose 🌟

Hi, I’m Rachel Cosway Operations Director at Nobilis Care, and this National Career Development Month, I’d love to share my career journey in the health and social care sector!

At just 19 years old, I started as a Care Assistant, directly supporting individuals in need. This experience ignited a genuine passion for making a positive impact on others’ lives. It also taught me invaluable lessons about empathy, resilience, and dedication, building a foundation that has shaped my entire career.

From there, I moved into a Team Leader role, where I had the privilege of helping others deliver high-quality care. I discovered the joy of developing others’ skills and leading by example, balancing leadership with the deep understanding that care work requires.

Next, I embraced the challenge of becoming a Registered Manager, where I dove into the operational and regulatory complexities of the sector. I learned to navigate compliance and quality standards while managing day-to-day operations—a rewarding and humbling experience that deepened my appreciation for excellence in care.

Driven by a desire to make a broader impact, I took on the role of Head of Operations, leading larger teams and shaping the future of care services. This position allowed me to focus on improving consistency and quality across multiple locations while driving innovation in service delivery.

Today, as Operations Director, I oversee the entire operational side of our organization. It’s a role I cherish and one that comes with immense responsibility. Every decision I make is guided by a commitment to ensuring that we not only meet but exceed expectations for the individuals and families we support.

To anyone starting out in care: this field offers incredible opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. My journey from Care Assistant to Operations Director has been built on hard work, support, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

I’m grateful for the challenges, the learning, and the amazing people I’ve worked alongside—and I’m excited to see what the future holds. 🏆💼
