Oaklands loved welcoming Phil Harding, a semi-retired Christian minister, who led a wonderful afternoon of prayer, worship, and singing ๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ™ Residents joined in with well-known hymns, actions, and plenty of smiles ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
It was a truly uplifting afternoon, enjoyed by all โ€” and weโ€™d love to welcome Phil back again ๐Ÿ’›

Happy BURNS NIGHT everyone!!๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿฅ‚
What an amazing afternoon we had here at Oakland's House!

Residents were invited to celebrate Burns night in style. In preparation of the celebrations our residents got creative and made Paper Weaving Tartans to display, late afternoon we recited some of the famous Robert Burns poems,some residents enjoyed a Scottish themed world search,followed by a Scottish themed quiz๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿฅฐ and it wouldn't be Burns night without listening to the wonderful sound of the bagpipes!

Birthday celebrations this week ..
Firstly ,Our lovely resident Myrna who celebrated her Birthday on Wednesday at Oakland's this week ,where she was presented with a delicious Birthday cake..๐ŸŽ‚But the celebrations didnt end there..๐ŸŽˆ Myrna had a wonderful Party today with her friends and family at our vintage cafe.

Then we topped the day off Celebrating John's 90th Birthday๐ŸŽŠ joined by all his friends to raise a glass of fizz๐Ÿฅ‚ on his special day. There was plenty of cake to go around too. ๐ŸŽ‚

Wow! What a vibrant afternoon with entertainer Marcus Davies. Residents were singing, dancing, and clapping along from start to finish.

Marcus never fails to delightโ€”getting everyone involved with his cheeky Welsh humour and warm, inviting personality. Laughter filled the room and happy pheromones were truly in overdrive!

We canโ€™t wait to welcome Marcus back again in March.

๐ŸŽถ What a joyful afternoon with entertainer Rustyn George! Our care home community loved singing along to favourite songs from the 1940s onwards, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and toe-tapping along the way. Rustynโ€™s skilful acoustic guitar playing and gentle humour created a wonderful atmosphere and lifted everyoneโ€™s spirits. Music truly brings people together ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽธ
