Amazing achievements from Tim, Matt & John all achieving their 5% weight loss goal this month 🙌, you guys are absolutely smashing it 😃 and Bob who continues to smash through his goals, hit his 25% weight loss this month 😳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, literally losing 1/4 of his body weight which is truly impressive and inspirational to all at Southampton!! Today Southampton MvF 11s hosted Basingstoke Dev Team at Woodlands Community College.

The match started at a frantic pace and Maca quickly bagged himself a brace assisted both times by Dan. The Basingstoke defence were finding it hard with the intensive press that was being led by Sean.

Some more attacking play saw Maca feed Mike in the inside Left position shrug off his marker slotting under the keeper to make it 3-0 to the hosts.

Maca bagged his hat-trick just before half time after some more high pressing. 4-0 at the break.

The second half saw some more chances squandered including Dan thinking he’d got himself on the scoresheet albeit an absolute peach of a save from their keeper that Aaron Ramsdale would of been pleased off. Eventually Dan squeezed a pass into the 6 yard box for Sean to slot home.

Louis then managed to feed Dan off a throw in for him to get his well deserved goal.

6-0 the game finished but this wasn’t as one sided as the scoreline would suggest and Basingstoke had chances mainly from set pieces but the Southampton back line and keeper Nick put in a fine defensive shift to keep a heroic clean sheet.

What better way to celebrate our end of season awards than to watch the England game together!! Thank you Goals Goals Soccer Centres for supporting our celebrations, we certainly had a night to remember with our black team smashing the weight and pitch league as well as the cup! The blue team smashing the weight loss league and Chris & Duncan achieving the amazing biggest loser and top scorer awards. Not to forget of course, our very own Player Facilitator Ashley who not only was on the winning black team, but also was chosen as Club Man this season for his ongoing motivation and for being super inspiring.. and to top of the awards, he even received the wooden spoon award for his ability to constantly smash footballs in to space 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
