⭐️ MEET JESS! ⭐️

✏️Topic of the month in Neuro Recovery is "Capnography" so Jess has kindly taken the time to peice together this amazing teaching board✏️

👍Jess is one of our paediatric nurses and has recently gone on to expand her skills and expertise within the neuro and orthopaedic specialities 👍

📉*"Capnography is a useful peice of monitoring equipment that we use frequently in paediatrics to ensure our patients are breathing effectively. So far it isn’t as widely used for adult patients so I wanted to use the knowledge I’ve learnt from working in paediatrics to help teach more staff about the capnography waveforms and how it can improve our care of both adult and paediatric patients"* 📈

🌟 The award was given due to the teams ability to go above and beyond, continuously improving and maintaining high standards of care whilst supporting other teams within UHS when under extreme pressure 🌟

💙 WELLBEING💙

This week the senior recovery team stepped out of the department and into their very first and well deserved wellbeing day!

Speakers from the UHS wellbeing team including Karen Mackinnon, and our very own wellbeing lead Jo. A formed part of the schedule of the day 🌟

Alongside this were group activities including "colour me happy" where the team took to the paintbrushes to create a portrait of a colleague as a gift ❤️

Don't you think they are all fantastic!
