*sharing a personal story, beware*
I'm celebrating 7 days being asymptomatic thanks to this beautiful book.
Words cannot describe my gratitude.
If I was ever in doubt diet can heal... I know it now.
I've spent two years wondering what's going on inside my body. I was often in pain, bleeding, struggling to understand what was happening to my guts. I've spent most of the time working on my mindset, practising yoga, trying different detox methods, shakes and mostly being vegan. I had blood tests, doctors appointments and hospital examinations. Nothing was changing and there were no answers.
Now I'm not throwing shade on being compassionate and choosing veganism. If you are vegan- I love it for you and maybe one day I'll be able to do it with you but... This wasn't working for my guts at all. Predominantly because (as it turns out) my guts refuse to digest legumes and pulses, is struggling with grains and sugars and hates all the nuts 😅🙈
I hope this will change in years to come. I intend to slowly bring some foods back when I know and feel I'm ready 🍀
I think what I'm trying to say is- remember that one thing doesn't work for all. It simply doesn't. Find your own way.
If your body is not cooperating with you- keep looking for the answers. Use both- medical tests and herbal remedies. Be persistent about it because you only have one body that you're going to spend the rest of your life in. Even if the diet or a habit is difficult and you want to give up (but it does work 👀) - keep at it.
Don't fall into the trap of endless drugs. If medications are necessary- be kind to yourself. If you can go without them and try diet, exercise etc- be kind to yourself.
Always, always- be kind to yourself because life in this world full of chemicals ain't easy.
I started recommended diet from "Breaking the vicious cycle" at the beginning of September. First I was only trying it "a little bit" which was nonsense 🙈
I have fully committed to it at the end of September and after 3 weeks of it (including removing nuts even though this diet allows them) I started to see the results- my guts stopped playing up and there was no more bleeding.
I haven't been asymptomatic that long in 2 years so this is freaking special.
I call it 1 week of freedom 🥹
Thank you Agata Moj for recommending this book to me. You helped me save my gut and my mental health ❤️🙏🏻 I'm so happy we can be weird moms practicing all the herbal and food medicine on ourselves and our children. What's more important than teaching new generations the power of what we put into our bodies?
Both physically and mentally that is.
Thank you to all those who listened to my moaning and research and different things I tried along the way. It must've been weird, especially with the explicit content of my stories. Thank you though 😂❤️🙏🏻
Concluding this long post... Is there one answer to all the health troubles? No. I see you "one method for all" healers 👀 😬 or... "It's all in your mind" gurus. Been there, done that.
However, if you are wondering about your gut and why it is playing up, have been diagnosed with the illness listed on the cover of this book or perhaps your symptoms are showing an incline towards those illnesses- get yourself this book and try healing through real food.
