Being healthy before a pregnancy increases your chances of having a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby, as well as reducing complications.

Women who have not previously had diabetes can experience gestational diabetes, a condition characterised by high blood sugar during pregnancy.

Gestational diabetes resolves after pregnancy, but increases a woman’s chance of developing Type 2 diabetes subsequently.

Future pregnancy in mind; plan for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

You may be eligible for your local Healthier You service if you meet the following criteria:

>Aged 18 years and over
>Do not have Type 2 diabetes
>Have a previous history of or currently have Gestational Diabetes 💙

Quote your previous history and Self-refer here:

You service your car every year. But what about your heart?

A free NHS Health Check is your heart's MOT.

If you're aged between 40 and 74 and haven't already been diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke or high blood pressure, you may be eligible for a health check.

To find out more and to check if you're eligible, visit: https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/healthchecks

The NHS Health Check is designed to spot early signs of conditions such as stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and dementia. As we age, our risk of developing these conditions increases. The NHS Health Check helps identify ways to reduce that risk and stay healthier for longer.

You'll find out:
- Your blood pressure
- Your cholesterol
- Your risk of diabetes
- Your heart age

It's quick, easy, and can help catch potential health issues early.

Don't wait for the warning lights when it comes to your health.
