Our residents at Little Haven Care Home were treated to a special visit from Amy Percival, who came in to sing for everyone and create a really uplifting atmosphere. There were plenty of smiles, toe-tapping and even a few singalongs along the way.

Music has such a wonderful way of bringing people together, and it was clear how much our residents enjoyed the performance. A big thank you to Amy for spending time with us and making the day so special for everyone.

Residents at Little Haven enjoyed a fun and creative activity last week, painting portraits of the person sitting opposite them. The session was full of laughter, giggles and great concentration as everyone added their own artistic touch.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part and is already looking forward to doing it again. A lovely way to spend time together, get creative and share a few laughs.

There’s always something happening at Heartland Manor, with a relaxed programme of activities running throughout the week for residents to enjoy at their own pace.

This week’s activities include:

Monday
☕ Tea & coffee morning and a catch-up in the Sun Lounge

Tuesday
🧶 Knit & natter (and crochet) with plenty of conversation

Wednesday
🎨 Arts & crafts session

Thursday
🎲 Games afternoon, including word games and favourites

Friday
🌸 Flower arranging

Saturday
🍰 Cookery club

Sunday
🎱 Bingo and a relaxed social afternoon

All activities are optional and designed to suit different interests and energy levels. Whether residents join in or simply enjoy being around others, the focus is on comfort, choice and enjoyment.

At Heartland Manor, we offer respite stays from just two nights - ideal for extra support after a hospital stay, a change of scene, or to give family carers a little time to recharge.

Respite guests are welcomed as part of the home, enjoying good food, friendly company and a calm, comfortable environment, even for a short stay.

Some of our residents at Heartland Manor enjoyed Cookery Club with Martyn, our Chef, and Petros, one of our Carers.

Everyone had fun decorating strawberry shortcakes, biscuits and doughnuts, which are now being enjoyed with a lovely afternoon tea.

A relaxed afternoon, good company and some very tasty treats.
