Residents spent a relaxing afternoon painting spring flowers this week. The level of focus, creativity, and attention to detail was wonderful to see, with each piece reflecting a unique style.

On Wednesday, residents enjoyed a creative afternoon making their own bookmarks. They carefully cut out shapes, used glue and decorative jewels, and chose colourful ribbons to finish their designs.

Once complete, we laminated them to make them durable and waterproof - perfect for everyday use. Everyone took great pride in their finished pieces, and there’s already talk of trying some new designs next time.

Last week at Heartland Manor, residents gathered for a short Ash Wednesday service led by Revd Sandra, marking the beginning of Lent.

It was a calm and reflective time, and those who wished were able to receive ashes afterwards. Moments like these can be very meaningful, offering comfort, familiarity, and an opportunity for residents to observe traditions that are important to them.

This week we had a wonderful visit from Cooper the Border Terrier, and he was an instant hit with everyone 🐾

Our residents at Little Haven Care Home were treated to a special visit from Amy Percival, who came in to sing for everyone and create a really uplifting atmosphere. There were plenty of smiles, toe-tapping and even a few singalongs along the way.

Music has such a wonderful way of bringing people together, and it was clear how much our residents enjoyed the performance. A big thank you to Amy for spending time with us and making the day so special for everyone.

Residents at Little Haven enjoyed a fun and creative activity last week, painting portraits of the person sitting opposite them. The session was full of laughter, giggles and great concentration as everyone added their own artistic touch.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part and is already looking forward to doing it again. A lovely way to spend time together, get creative and share a few laughs.
