Well done Ms Xie!!

Well done Ms Xie!!

👏 Incredible work by Ms. Carol Xie, who recently performed a 5-hour life-changing surgery on 11-year-old Eloise from Swindon. After rapidly losing her hearing in 2024, Eloise received cochlear implants thanks to Ms. Xie’s expertise.

These complex procedures are not just medical milestones—they’re life-changing for children like Eloise, giving them the chance to reconnect with the world around them. 💬👂💖

Were you invited to join the Both EARS (BEARS) virtual reality project and decided not to?

We are talking with children, young people and their parents about what put them off doing the BEARS project and how we can make research easier to do in the future.

Can you help us?

It would mean talking with us for about 30 minutes on a videocall. We will not try to get you to do the BEARS project.

As a thank you, your child will be given a £10 voucher. If you are interested, please email:
