Here’s what’s new:

The Healthier Together App remains the same.

Healthier Together provides healthcare advice to parents, young people and pregnant women for children from birth to 18 years, as well as clinical resources to support healthcare professionals.

Today we’re celebrating our incredible midwives - compassionate professionals supporting people through some of the biggest moments of their lives.

🧁 To help mark the occasion, our Royal College of Midwives (RCM) representatives and Professional Midwifery Advocates will be 'trolley dashing' maternity areas over the next couple of days delivering sweet treats and cakes - just one small way to say thank you to our amazing midwives.

Today, on International Day of the Midwife, we’re sharing a snapshot of the incredible care our midwifery teams have provided over the past year.

Behind every number is a story - moments of joy and strength, as well as times of exceptional resilience and compassion. 💜🎗️

Between April 2024 and March 2025, our teams supported thousands of families, and this year, they’ve done so in newly-opened spaces like our Neonatal Unit and our amazing new special care baby unit (Woodland Ward).

To every UHS midwife - thank you for the care, kindness and commitment you bring to every shift. Super stars! ✨

Please be aware of potential disruption around our site and Coxford Road from 8am tomorrow morning (Thursday 20 March). This is due to building development works. 🛠️ 🚧

Throughout the day, heavy-duty trucks will be delivering concrete to support the construction of our new energy centre. These deliveries may impact the flow of traffic on Coxford Road, so we recommend allowing extra time for your journey or using alternative routes if possible.

There will be support available on the day to assist with signposting and traffic diversions.
