✨ Our most loved late afternoon activity, flower arranging by our ladies at St Annes.

Today’s activity was a mix feeling of joy & sadness as we arranged flowers for our dear Nicky.

We wish you well, thank you for the memories and all your hard work. You will never be forgotten. 💕

✨ Tomorrow we have the lovely Linda from Linnies Fashions, Linda is bringing clothes party for both men and women.

The idea behind Linnies Fashion is to let our residents experience shopping for their own clothes without leaving the home.

If you’re thinking of joining your love ones for the clothes party join us at 2:00 PM

Linnies fashion will be back on the 4th December for some winter outfits.

✨ Thank you ladies for attending our first Helping Hands coffee morning on Saturday.

Our biggest take away today was even though we all have different experiences, we all feel thesame, whether it’s lost, grief, disappointment and love.

That’s why The HH is created for family and friends of St Anne’s to have a safe space to talk to and process your emotions, most of all find the right people who can understand and listen to you without any judgment.

The HH group is not only limited to a peer support group, we are also keen to inviting experts to talk about other areas of dementia so watch this space ✨

Kudos to our Dementia Nurse Pearl for co creating this group.

We hope you can join us on our next session.

We at St Annes are proud to announce our very first Peer Support Group called The Helping Hands.

The Helping Hands is a peer support group for carers | care partners of people living with dementia.

The HH is an informal group where people can meet and share with other people with similar experiences and even learn from each other.

Join us on our very first coffee morning, and one of many.

✨ Woot Woot ! Only few days left before our Summer Fete 🙌 Our residents at St Annes are busy preparing making our Summer Fete decorations… thank you creativemojoltd |creative mojo Southampton&Wi******er to Alison for helping us to create this beautiful piece of work.

Every piece of art work painted and created by our residents had magically turned into a beautiful masterpiece.

This will surely be the centre of our decoration during our celebration.

Our residents enjoyed their painting & collage workshop this morning!

Why arts & craft and other creative workshops are essential in the carehome.

🫟It helps stimulate different areas of the brain, improve focus, and foster a sense of accomplishment.

🫟Painting can also be a therapeutic outlet, potentially reducing anxiety and agitation, and improving overall well being.

🫟 Group painting sessions can foster social interaction and a sense of belonging, combating isolation and loneliness.

✨ Hello Sunshine & July 🌞

📣July is extra special for us because our most awaited event is just around the corner.

Our Summer Fete. 🎊 (woot woot )

This year we are going back in time with our retro & vintage theme.

Food & Drinks are Free ( Donations are also welcome) All money raised on our Fete will go towards creating more fun, meaningful and even bigger activities for our residents.

Since we wanted to make our Summer Fete extra special, this year ''We want you to be involved in every step of the way''. We are always looking for volunteers to help us as well as donations for our raffle, and game prizes.

Everything and every help goes a long way.

Please do not hesitate to get intouch with for ideas, support and volunteering.

We are all looking forward for you to celebrate with us on

✨Today we raise awareness for National Loneliness Week with our community partner The Caraway Group.

Loneliness in elderly people in the UK is a significant issue, with around 1.4 million older adults experiencing loneliness.

This can have serious impacts on both physical and mental health, potentially accelerating frailty and increasing the risk of conditions like heart disease, stroke, and dementia.

Many older adults also report feeling ignored and invisible, highlighting the social and emotional impact of loneliness

At St Anne’s we advocate STOP and CHAT, because we believe it only takes a minute or two to be kind and put a smile on someone’s face.

Today we enjoyed a morning visit from our Caraway friends, a warm afternoon in the garden painting, whilst others did pottery, chatting and giggling as our residents shared their summer holiday stories.
