The Old Chemist is the admin centre for Southampton Vineyard Church. We are a local church and you can find out more about us on our Southampton Vineyard page. Many of us live in and around Bitterne Park and we love this community. We actively look for ways, often with the other local churches, to help and bless the schools, businesses, community groups and our friends and neighbours here
. We moved into the Old Chemist in January 2010 and we've been using the upstairs for offices for ourselves and some are rented out to others. We use the downstairs area for some of our regular meetings, events, parties and community groups; Southampton City Mission run their Basics Bank from here every Wednesday. However, we are also a rentable space and because we want to make it as accessible as possible to our community, our fees just cover our costs
The Old Chemist is used regularly by people in our community for ... Mental Health meetings, A language School, Highfield School of Dance ballet lessons, community events, Saturday sales, pottery painting, Create craft workshops, children's parties, charity functions, games nights, acoustic music gigs, art workshops ...etc etc etc! The Old Chemist is a great venue for parties, training sessions, one-off meetings or regular groups. Our prices are £16.00 an hour (minimum booking of 2 hours) includes use of the lounge, side room, kitchen & cloakroom. We have trestle tables and fold away chairs to sit 25 or sofas for a more relaxed vibe! In the kitchen there is enough crockery/cutlery/glasses for about 25 people. You can use the online calendar to check availability and use the booking form there to book your space! http://www.svc.church/home/booking-the-old-chemist
