A huge shoutout to Robin, who fearlessly completed a 10,000ft tandem skydive at the weekend 🪂 — all in support of Mountbatten Hampshire.

Thanks to his bravery (and a little bit of freefall!), he’s raised nearly £600 to help provide compassionate end-of-life care to those who need it most.

Great news from Walfinch Southampton.

Did you know that in January 2025, an average of 13,815 patients were medically cleared to leave UK hospitals each day—but couldn’t, due to delays 📉

That’s why innovative care solutions are urgently needed.

🏡 Walfinch Home Care in Southampton has joined a new pilot using the Myra care‑coordination app. The goal? Speed up hospital discharges by connecting patients, families, and NHS teams to home care, equipment, and vital support faster. Walfinch says this could ease ambulance queues, avoid cancelled treatments, and protect patient health.

⚕️ Angela Harding, co‑director at Walfinch Southampton, shared: “Delayed discharges mean ambulances are stuck… planned treatments have to be cancelled and patients’ health deteriorates, so we were delighted to be involved.”

💡 The app doesn’t just help patients—it also boosts Walfinch’s visibility in local hospitals

🚑 Reduces ambulance backlog and hospital bed pressure.

🏠 Helps patients return home sooner and with confidence.
