To stay active, we spent some time in the garden this morning enjoying the fresh air and sunshine while listening to the birds. It was still a bit chilly, but we really enjoyed the walk and tidying up the chairs. 🪴 🪑

In the afternoon, we did some chair dance exercises to keep our arms and legs moving, helping us stay active and energized throughout the day. And a bit of pampering to end the day.😊 💅

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful musical storytelling session, blending familiar melodies with gentle narrative moments that sparked smiles, memories, and connection.

Today at KG we enjoyed a beautiful musical storytelling session with John Salter.
He brought the story to life through his narration while playing the oboe, creating a gentle, theatrical atmosphere that everyone loved.

Residents joined in by speaking a few lines from the characters, and then settled into quietly listening as the lovely sound of the oboe filled the room.

John shared moments from Cats, The Swan and other well‑known tales, weaving music and story together in a way that made the whole session feel magical and inclusive. 🎶 🎵 🐱 🦢

A chilly day, but the sunshine still brought smiles to everyone! ☀️

This afternoon we tuned into M4Radio’s Music for Dementia, enjoying some wonderful hits from the 60s. Our residents absolutely loved it, it sparked lots of reminiscence and meaningful moments together. 🎶

A big thank you to Leslie as well for helping put up posters even added a “missing” poster for Samba the capybara—kidding aside, we truly hope she’ll be found safe and soon!

Today we celebrated the birthday of Mary Berry - a beloved British baking icon known for her warm personality and classic recipes.🍰

At KG our residents got involved in creating a fun dessert: an edible garden pot 🪴 it didn’t turn out exactly as we expected but it tasted absolutely delicious 🤤

The best part? Residents became the judges, scoring the dessert as part of our come dine with Bupa experience. ❤️

Residents took part in a virtual tour of the Eiffel Tower and Paris this afternoon. 🗼
They also practiced basic French greetings such as Bonjur , Au revoir and Merci!

Engagement was good throughout the session. Barbara, Philly , Barry and Edna showed confidence in pronunciation these words. 🇫🇷

Residents appeared relaxed, interested, and enjoyed the cultural experience.
