Our dear Audrey has just arrived at Knights Grove and welcomed us with a wonderful demonstration of flower arranging. The session soon became interactive, with the other ladies happily joining by giving feedback and helping out. Audrey used to be a volunteer in a hospital, where she made and delivered floral arrangements to the wards, bringing cheer to both patients and staff. What a lovely thing to do! Thank you Audrey! 🌺 πŸ’ πŸ₯

This morning, residents enjoyed a toy pet therapy session, spending time stroking and interacting with our lifelike cats and dogs 🐢🐱 A calming and comforting activity that brought lots of smiles.

In the afternoon, we held a jewellery workshop β€” some ladies loved creating their own pieces, while others enjoyed watching and chatting. A lovely therapeutic activity encouraging creativity, connection, and relaxation ✨

We celebrated Robert Burns with a wonderful day of Scottish traditions. We began by creating decorations and a display board, followed by learning about Burns’ history, taking part in quizzes, and enjoying readings of his poems performed by our staff. We also learned some Scottish phrases! We sang along to Auld Lang Syne while sampling delicious Scottish shortbread. The day ended on a high note with a traditional feast of haggis, neeps and tatties, followed by a delightful cranachan dessert, all lovingly prepared by our dear Chef Jayne. Thank you 😊
