Patient walks in in obvious pain.
He complained that his right arm was restricted and in severe pain. Upon testing, it was clear that both arms had limited movement. Further assessment revealed nerve impingement connecting into the neck and upper ribs.

As you can see from the video — before treatment, his movement was restricted and painful. After treatment, his arm was moving smooth and free.

As he went to pay, he said, “I can’t believe I can get my jumper on without pain — I’ve been so used to it.”

How do you warm up your legs?

Are you just looking for stronger muscles?
Are you also wanting endurance into your sets?
How many reps is too many?
Are you going deep enough?
Are you power lifting?
Are you body building?
Are you training for longevity?
Are you training sport specific?
Are you rehabbing an injury?

The answer should always come back to.... Whats your goal?

Now you may ask Why are you warming up with 60kg squats and doing 55 reps.

The answer is it correlates to my goals.

Always have a plan.
George at Back to your roots injury therapy can offer you a plan based on your goals.

Lets figure it out together.

Post 1: Kyphosis (aka Text Neck)

📱 Kyphosis — aka Text Neck
Rounded shoulders, tight pecs, and that forward head tilt you get from hours on your phone or laptop.

It’s not just a posture issue — it’s a chain reaction that can affect breathing, shoulder function, and spinal health.

🔸 Kyphosis can be genetic, but it’s often caused by lifestyle — desk work, stress, and inactivity.
🧠 Awareness is step one. Alignment is step two.

Post 2: Lordosis (aka Sway Back)

🏋️‍♀️ Lordosis — aka Sway Back
An exaggerated inward curve of the lower spine.

You might notice your hips tilt forward, abs disengage, and lower back feel constantly tight.

🔸 Lordosis can be genetic, but it’s often driven by lifestyle — weak core, tight hip flexors, or long periods of sitting.

Post 3: Scoliosis

🌀 Scoliosis — The spine that curves under imbalance.
Uneven muscle tension and rotation can pull your spine into a curve — sometimes subtle, sometimes visible.

It can be genetic, but also influenced by lifestyle factors like poor movement patterns, repetitive habits, or injury.

Every curve tells a story — understanding yours is the key to improving balance and function.

⚡ Muscle Twitch or Nerve Response?

When pressing into the lateral shoulder triggers a twitch further down the arm, that’s a neuromuscular reflex — not random. It often shows nerve irritation or a trigger point sending referred activation along the kinetic chain.

💡 Key takeaways:
• The pain you feel isn’t always from the spot you see.
• Shoulder compression can expose hidden nerve tension patterns.
• Targeted assessment and release of the pathway helps restore normal muscle tone and function.

🎯 This is how we get to the root cause, not just treat symptoms.

🦵 ACL Injuries in Football

Tackles are one of the most common causes of ACL tears in football — often happening in a split second when the knee twists or locks under pressure.

⚽ Common signs:
• Sudden pain or “pop” during contact
• Rapid swelling
• Instability or giving way

💡 Prevention:
Strength, balance, and neuromuscular training make all the difference. Preparing your body for impact reduces the risk of serious knee injuries on the pitch.

👉 If you’ve had a knee injury, don’t just rest — get it assessed properly.
At Back To Your Roots Injury Therapy, we help players rebuild movement, strength, and confidence after ACL trauma.
