Today at Rownhams Manor are care team and residents put on a spontaneous singing show for all and enjoyed a little giggle.

🍨 At Rownhams, if you want it and we have it, we’ll make it happen.
Yesturday morning was the perfect example. At 10:30am, our lovely resident Molly came to reception and said, “I really want ice cream.”

She didn’t quite believe us when we said we could sort it… but we did — and it absolutely made her day.

It’s the little moments that matter, and we’re always happy to make them happen at Rownhams. 🍦

🎉 Special Birthday today here at Rownhams!

Brendon turned 101 today and enjoyed a special day with his family followed by a surprise cake and celebrations with all the staff and residents.

Brendon has said he has started planning his 102nd birthday already! 🎂

🌼 A lovely week for our residents! 🌼

A few of our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Orangery Tearooms last week, followed by a visit to the Aquatics Centre. The smiles said it all — delicious treats, great company, and a relaxing day out that everyone truly appreciated.

It was a joy to see how much they enjoyed the change of scenery and the chance to spend time together. More outings like this to come!

🎉 Burns Celebration at Rownhams Manor Care Home

We brought a touch of Scotland to Rownhams Manor Care Home today as we celebrated Burns Night a little early. Our residents enjoyed a traditional haggis meal, listened to a beautiful Scottish poem in honour of Robert Burns, and were treated to the stirring sound of a live bagpiper. We even raised a wee dram of whisky to complete the experience.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with culture, music, and community spirit — a lovely way to honour Scotland’s national poet and share a special moment together.

🥃 What Is Burns Night?

Burns Night is a Scottish celebration held every year on 25 January to honour the life and work of Robert Burns, Scotland’s most famous poet. Known for works like Auld Lang Syne and Address to a Haggis, Burns captured Scottish culture, humour, and humanity in his writing.

A traditional Burns Night includes:

• A meal featuring haggis, neeps, and tatties
• Readings of Burns’ poetry
• Bagpipes and Scottish music
• A toast with whisky
• Plenty of laughter and good company

It’s a celebration of heritage, storytelling, and togetherness — and we were delighted to bring that spirit to our home today.

Dancing the day away at Rownhams Manor Care Home the other day! ✨💃
What an incredible afternoon we had filled with music, laughter, and plenty of happy feet. Our residents lit up the room as the amazing singer Natalie brought all the classics to life.

From toe‑tapping tunes to full‑on dance‑floor moments, the energy was unforgettable. These are the moments that make our community feel so special — connection, joy, and a whole lot of rhythm.
