CLOSURE REMINDER:

We are closed from 1pm on Tuesday 18th November so that our Surgery can join the TARGET training scheme.

What is TARGET?
TARGET stands for Time for Audit Research Governance Education and Training and all of these things are important in ensuring that surgery staff can do their jobs as effectively as possible.
By taking part in a half day TARGET session our Primary Care Workforce can:
✅Learn new skills which they can then use back in the surgery
✅Learn about new treatments and approaches to care
✅Work more closely with the hospitals and other care providers to make your care work more effectively
✅Share their thoughts and ideas with each other to improve services.

As part of our annual act of remembrance, North Baddesley Surgery will observe a two-minute silence tomorrow (11/11) at 11:00am to honour those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.

From the 1st October 2025, the way we operate eConsults is changing. NHS England requires all practices to keep their online consultation tool open Monday–Friday, 8.00am–6.30pm for NON-URGENT consultations, medication queries and administrative requests.

We are extremely disappointed with the behaviour from one of our patients today, who thought it was a good idea to clog the sink with toilet paper and put on the taps to flood the toilets.

By doing this not only did it waste water and extra cleaning equipment, you also used up valuable time from our Infection control nurse and the reception team so they could clean this up.

Unfortunately, we have had to close the female patient toilets for the rest of the day to allow the flooring to dry fully.

Luckily this was noticed before it had gotten any worse and caused a patient to slip.

Please be aware that the surgery doors will be closed from 5:30pm today (25/09/2025) due to staff/GP sickness. Our telephone lines will remain open until usual close. We will be open as normal on Friday 26th September.

Dear Patients,

From 27th August 2025, for approx. 3 weeks we will be having our fire doors upgraded within the surgery.

This may cause minor disruption during our opening hours by:

🔊The surgery being louder than usual
⛔️You may need to be directed to clinical rooms via an alternative corridor
🚗The car park may be busier than usual

Please bear this in mind when attending your appointment. This work should not affect your appointment, so please attend as usual.
