There is an endless list of healthy habits you can introduce to your life. However, if you are new to wellbeing and mindful lifestyle, I would recommend to start with:

1. Morning Routine

Although it is called a routine, it doesn’t always have to look the same. You can play around with it, but the main habits I recommend are: getting up earlier, morning meditation and journaling.

2. Productivity

Limit distractions, especialy usage of your phone and social media. While working or studying, make sure you have your notifications off and you don’t check your phone every 5 minutes.

3. Personal Growth

Never stop learning! Expand your skills and knowledge every single day!! Even learning one simple thing per day is better than nothing.

The science behind creating habits.

Creating habits is one of the most powerful tools you have for improving your life. Whether you want to boost productivity, improve health, or achieve personal goals, establishing positive habits can be a game-changer.

By introducing new behaviours in our daily life and by repeating them each day, we programe ourselves.

Our brains are super adaptable because of something called neuroplasticity. When we keep doing a behavior over and over, the pathways in our brain related to that action get stronger, making it more automatic.

That’s why repetition is key for building habits. Every time you repeat a behavior, you strengthen those neural connections, slowly making the habit a natural part of your routine.

Just test yourself and play with it. Start small. Think of a new habit that you can introduce to your life.

It can be as small as drinking 2l of water per day or getting up one hour earlier so you have some “me time” in the morning 🙂

Do you find yourself struggling with negative thoughts that seem to take over your day or change your mood?
It’s common to feel weighed down by these thoughts, but the good news is, you can learn how to manage your negative thoughts.

By practicing mindfulness and positive self-talk, you can reduce stress and build a more optimistic outlook on life. Start small, be patient with yourself, and watch as your mindset transforms for the better.

TIP OF THE DAY:

If you think about yourself in a negative way, and you self-doubt yourself by saying: “I am not good at it”, “I can’t manage it”, “I don’t have the skills for it” just add YET at the end of the sentence. So now it will look like “I am not good at it YET”, “I don’t have the skills for it YET”.
This way you are shifting your mindset from fixed to growth 🙂 Good luck with the simple exercise 🙂

Practicing mindfulness on the go is about integrating mindful awareness into your daily activities, no matter where you are.
Here are some awesome exercises that toy can practice wherever you are.

👉🏼Mindful Breathing. Take a few deep breaths, focusing on the sensation of the air entering and leaving your lungs. Count your breaths if that helps.

👉🏼Body Scan. Quickly scan your body from head to toe, noticing any areas of tension. Consciously relax each part.

👉🏼Mindful Listening. Pay full attention to the sounds around you. Try to identify different sounds without labeling them as good or bad.

👉🏼Mindful Senses. Focus on your five senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. What are you experiencing right now?

👉🏼Mindful Technology Use. Before using your phone or any other devices, take a moment to breathe and set an intention for your use. Be present with your actions.

👉🏼Mindful Waiting. Use waiting times as opportunities for mindfulness. Focus on your breath or observe your surroundings without judgment.

👉🏼Mindful Smiling. Smile genuinely and notice how it feels. Observe any changes in your mood or body.

Realistic goals MOTIVATES us. They are challenging yet attainable, providing motivation to work towards them. Achieving these goals boosts our confidence and encourages us to set and pursue even more ambitious objectives.

Realistic goals ensure that we allocate our time, energy, and resources effectively, avoiding wasted effort on pursuits that are beyond our capabilities or resources. This way we are EFFICIENT.

It all starts with goals setting.

Having clear goals is important. They provide direction, motivation, and focus. Clear goals can help you prioritise tasks, make better decisions, and measure progress. But that’s not all!!!
Clear goals also give you a sense of purpose and sense of achievement which leads to boosting your confidence and self-esteem.

There are many different ways of setting goals. For me the most common and old fashioned way of setting goals works best and that’s why I always recommend to start with the SMART method.

Before you start setting your goals you should have a clear vision what exactly you want to achieve. Once you have an idea of what exactly you are aiming for you can use the SMART method.

S- make sure your goals are specific. Provide as many details as possible.

M- your goals need to be measurable. Set criteria for measuring progress and determining when the goals have been achieved.

A- make sure your goals are achievable. Start with a small goal so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

R- ensure that the goal is realistic and attainable given your resources, skills, and constraints.

T- your goals need to be time-bound. All goals should have a deadline or timeframe for completion. This way you can creat a sense of urgency and provide a clear target for achievement.

Being assertive allows you to communicate your needs, desires, and boundaries clearly and confidently. This often leads to healthier relationships, increased self-esteem, and more effective problem-solving.

And this is how you can boost your assertiveness.

Self-awareness. Understand your own needs, values, and boundaries.

Positive self-talk. Replace negative thoughts with affirmations that reinforce your worth and right to assert yourself.

Assertive body language. Maintain good posture, make eye contact, and use confident gestures.

Setting boundaries. Learn to say no when necessary and assert your limits. Determine what is acceptable and unacceptable to you in different areas of your life, and communicate these boundaries assertively.

Living mindfully and being present allows you to engage with life with awareness, intention, and appreciation.

By fully experiencing each moment without judgment, you can experience satisfaction and enjoyment from everyday activities and experiences.

But how to live mindfully in this crazy-busy world?

Here are some tips:

👉🏼Five Senses Check-In. Pause and notice five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This exercise helps ground you in the present moment.

👉🏼Breath Counting. Sit quietly and count your breaths, from one to ten, focusing on each inhale and exhale. If your mind wanders, gently return your focus to your breath and start counting again.

👉🏼Body Scan. Close your eyes and bring your attention to each part of your body, starting from your toes and moving up to your head. Notice any sensations or areas of tension without trying to change them.

By incorporating such simple exercises you can become more mindful and more aware. If you find yourself in a stressful situation just pause for one minute and practice one of these techniques.

Letting go of bad feelings can be difficult. We might become emotionally attached to our negative feelings, especially if they’ve been with us for a long time.
We might fear losing control or become more vulnerable. On top of that, the human mind focuses on negative thoughts and feelings, replaying them over and over again. This can make it challenging to break free from the cycle of negativity.

Overcoming these challenges often requires self-awareness, patience, and practice.

Here is how you can help yourself:

👍🏼Acknowledge Your Feelings: Recognize and accept your emotions without judgment. It’s okay to feel upset or angry!!!

😤Identify Triggers: Try to understand what triggers these bad feelings. Recognizing patterns can help you manage them better in the future.

🙏Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same understanding and support you would offer to a friend going through a tough time.

✋Release Control: Sometimes, holding onto negative feelings comes from trying to control situations or people. Accept that some things are beyond your control.

🧘‍♀️Practice Mindfulness: Engage in activities that bring you into the present moment, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. This can help you let go of rumination about the past or worries about the future.

P.S. ALL feelings are beneficial- the good and the bad ones. And we should allow ourselves to experience all of the feelings. However, we need to learn how to manage the bad/negative ones so they don’t impact our mental health.
