🚍The Waterside Health bus is on it's way🚍
We are delighted to announce that the Waterside Health bus is now with the conversion company to be fitted out, ready for a planned launch in Spring 2026.
This exciting new service will bring high quality NHS health and wellbeing support directly into our local communities, making care easier to access for everyone.
The Health bus will travel to convenient, familiar locations across the Waterside, offering free, preventative services such as:
💙 NHS Health checks to help people understand their health risks.
💙 Blood pressure checks and early identification of cardiovascular disease.
💙 Practical lifestyle advice, including support with physical activity, healthy eating and stopping smoking.
💙 personalised wellbeing and mental health support, tailored to individual needs.
💙 Clear advice and signposting into further NHS and community services when needed
By taking services out into the community, the Waterside Health Bus will help us to engage with people who may not always access traditional health care settings. This means we can spot early warning signs sooner, offer timely support, and help prevent long term health problems before they develop.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to a generous £45,000 donation from ExxonMobil Fawley, supporting our shared commitment to accessible, preventative and patient centred care for local residents.
