Here are some tips for you when you are on the massage table:

1. When I am moving you around, you don't need to help, unless I specifically ask you to. It is much easier for me to move a relaxed limb than one that is trying to help me.

2. When I am on an area that feels intense (and most of you know exactly what I am talking about here!), do not hold your breath. Instead, focus on taking nice deep breaths that will help to calm your nervous system.

3. Don't lift you head up off the couch to talk. I promise that I can hear you fine with your head down.

We all know that exercise is something we should be doing regularly, but do you actually realise what the benefits are?

Exercise can:
* Reduce your risk of chronic disease
* Reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke
* Reduce inflammation
* Help to balance your hormones, reducing your chances of breast and other common cancers
* It can improve your mood
* It can be fun!

So what is your chosen method of exercise going to be today? Comment below and tell me!

Do you struggle to fit exercise into your day?

If you do, then you need to rethink exercise. Don't think of it as something specific that needs to be done, but think outside the box and incorporate more general movement in your day.

The more we can get our body moving in different ways, the more strength, flexibility we will gain and the less pain associated with lack of movement we will have.

Some simple ways that we can fit more movement into a busy day include:
- get up 5 minutes earlier to do some stretching before your day begins. You can even do this in bed!
- park further away from your destination, so that you have a longer walk to get there
- do squats when you clean your teeth
- do worktop push ups while the kettle boils
- walk 500 steps, or do start jumps or high knees, for every hour you spend sat at our desk.

Can you manage to do at least one of these every day? Which one are you most likely to try? Tell me in the comments.

A recent study by the University of South Australia found that people who wear fitness trackers tend to walk an extra 40 minutes every day!

I have the goal of doing an hours exercise every day on my fitness trackers. I will also be the first to hold up my hand and say that it doesn't happen every day, but it does the majority of the time.

My fitness tracker has definitely helped me to do more at certain times, to ensure that I reach my goal.

This is a great exercise to do if you are stuck in a rut. This can give you some great activities to look forward to, and can help your sense of wellbeing.

I know exactly what is at the top of my list, and that is going for a swim in the sea! It has been about 3 weeks since I last had a sea swim, I do it with a good friend and usually other people who are part of a wider group too. It gives me a real sense of achievement, the feeling of being invigorated, and something to totally take my mind off everything else.
