Walk & Talk Therapy: Why stepping outside can change the conversation.

Not everyone feels comfortable sitting in a therapy room.

For some people, movement helps thoughts flow more naturally. For others, being outdoors reduces the intensity of direct eye contact or the “spotlight” feeling that can come with traditional sessions.

Walk & Talk Therapy can:
• Reduce feelings of pressure or formality
• Support nervous system regulation through gentle movement
• Make difficult conversations feel more manageable
• Encourage creativity, reflection, and perspective-shifting
• Feel more natural for clients who struggle to “sit and talk”

Research continues to highlight the benefits of combining physical movement with psychological processing, particularly for stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.

If you’re curious about whether Walk & Talk Therapy might suit you, I’m always happy to discuss options.

Happy New Year, all! Let's start the year off right

Hi, I’m Chloe.
Counsellor, mum, neurodivergent human, lover of animals and overwatered houseplants.

My practice is grounded in one belief:
✨ You deserve a space where you can take a beat, unmask, and actually be yourself. ✨

While I work with most issues, I specialise in:
Neurodivergent adults (especially late-diagnosed)
Overthinkers
People navigating burnout or overwhelm
Anyone who feels a bit “out of place” in the world

Here’s what therapy with me feels like:
Cosy lighting
Sensory tools (because adults need them too)
A comfy chair you can sit in however your body wants
Humour when it helps
Honesty when it matters
Curiosity instead of judgement
Authentic, human connection

In sessions we explore:
🧠 your nervous system
đź’¬ your patterns
🎨 your creativity
🌿 your emotions
✨ the parts of you that need to be heard

You don’t need polished answers.
You don’t need to “perform”.
You don’t need to apologise for crying, swearing, or losing your words.

Just come as you are.
I’ll meet you there.

If you’d like to work together, my DMs are open for queries 🪴

Crying isn’t a failure of strength, it’s your nervous system doing what it was designed to do.

So many men have been taught to swallow it down, shut it off, or “man up.”
Not because they feel less but because they were conditioned out of listening to their own bodies.

Tears regulate the nervous system.
They release stress hormones.
They soften overwhelm.
They calm the body.
And they help you come back into yourself.

Suppressing them doesn’t make you tougher, it just leaves your system flooded with emotion you never got to process and, eventually, it will come out on another way.

I see this all the time in therapy:
Men who don’t “cry”… until they finally feel safe enough to.
And when it happens, it’s not weakness.
It’s relief.
It’s connection.
It’s the body saying, “Finally, you're listening.”

If you grew up hearing you shouldn’t cry, please know this:
Your biology disagrees.
Your feelings deserve space.
And you deserve support that doesn’t punish your humanity.
