Residents at Speedwell Court Abbeyfield Living Society had a wonderful time at our community dementia sing-along sessions.
These sessions are more than just music — they create moments of connection and joy.
Music has a unique power to reach parts of the memory that words alone can’t, helping residents feel calmer, more confident, and closer to those around them.
Having a sing song, a wiggle and a boogie, lots of laughs and loving life - is a perfect way to spend a Thursday afternoon. Speedwell Court really is the place to be.
Thank you to all of those who came along, who joined in and especially Pauline and Louise.

Support Sarah Taylor - Moors Valley Walk for Parkinson’s UK
On Sunday 29th June and on behalf of her father Greg, Sarah Taylor will be taking part in the Moors Valley Walk, Dorset to raise money for Parkinson’s UK — a charity dedicated to funding research and improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s disease is the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world. It affects movement, causing symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, and slowness — all of which worsen over time. With your support, Parkinson’s UK can continue vital research and provide crucial support to those living with the condition.
If you’re able to, please consider donating and helping Sarah reach her fundraising goal. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it. Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.
