Warrior Military and Veteran Network

Warrior Military and Veteran Network Warrior Military & Veteran Network offers connection, support, and someone to listen when times are tough. Hello everyone,
I thought I would introduce myself.

Whether serving or a veteran, you’re never on your own. We can meet for a coffee and a chat whenever you need to talk. My name is Jason, and I am proud to be the lead for Coffee Mate Military and Veterans. I have served in the British Army for the last 25 years and continue to do so today. Through Coffee Mate, my mission is to create a welcoming space where veterans and serving personnel can conne

ct, share experiences, and access support. Coffee Mate Military and Veterans is about more than just a cup of coffee—it’s about building community, fostering belonging, and ensuring no one feels alone on their journey. Whether you are serving, have served, or are even thinking about leaving the Armed Forces, I am here for you. This is a place where your story matters, your experiences are valued, and your wellbeing comes first. I’m excited to take this next step in strengthening our support for the Armed Forces community. Together, we’ll grow from strength to strength, offering guidance, resources, and genuine connection. Thank you for being part of this journey—I look forward to meeting many of you at our upcoming coffee mornings or evening events.

Warrior Military & Veteran Network
The Warrior Military & Veteran Network has been created to continue the work I started, to bring serving personnel and veterans together through simple, honest conversation. Whether you’re looking for a chat, someone to listen, a bit of company, or guidance and signposting to further support, I’m here.

Each week, I’ll be based in a different coffee shop around Southampton — sometimes in the city, sometimes on the outskirts — giving you the chance to drop in whenever it suits you.

There’s no pressure and no judgement. Just a relaxed space to sit down, grab a brew, and talk.

Keep an eye on this page for updates on where I’ll be and what time I’ll be there.

I look forward to meeting you and continuing this journey of support, connection, and community.

The Forcer Protocol is a tool used by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to ensure key information is available when we are searching for service veterans who are lost or have gone missing.

It is named after Alan Forcer who suffered with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and debilitating depression following service in Northern Ireland and Kosovo, subsequently taking his own life.

Service veterans, their informal and professional carers, family members and friends can complete the Forcer Protocol form which records vital information in relation to the veteran in case they go missing. We will only access the form and use the information if that person goes missing.

This is difficult for me to say, but today the decision has been made to close the Coffee Mate HQ in Havant.
As a result, I have no choice but to close the Coffee Mate Military & Veteran Hub as of this afternoon.

For anyone who would like to understand how this decision was reached, there are videos available on Dan Carter’s page where he speaks openly and honestly about the circumstances and explains everything in full.

To those who kindly donated money to help me build the Military & Veteran Hub, every penny will be returned. Any furniture or items that can be reused will be passed on to those who need them most, ensuring the support continues in another way.

Although the closure of the hub is deeply heartbreaking, this is not the end.

Over the past months I’ve supported people, built connections, and created a space where our community felt seen and valued. That doesn’t disappear because the building does.
Those I am currently supporting will continue to receive that support, and I remain committed to the Armed Forces community.

I will be back in some capacity — but I need a little time to work out what the next chapter looks like. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me, believed in the vision, and walked through our doors.

Your support means more than you know.

Jason

Come and say hello.

I’m in the Havant Hub today until 3pm.

Feel free to pop by, say hello and grab a brew.

Does anyone happen to know of any decent carpet or blind companies that might be able to help out with carpet and blinds for the hub.

So close to getting everything finished for open day.
