Hello, as many will be aware, I have now relocated to Hampshire. I am starting my acupuncture practice in Southampton. Hi, I'm Naomi, the licenced acupuncturist and owner of Sereniqi. My family and I have recently moved to Hampshire and I am excited to open up my health practice here. I previously had an acupuncture practice for 12 years in Yorkshire and I can't wait to get started again now we have settled in. As I get ready to relocate to Hampshire it's time to reflect on my practice after being an acupuncturist in Halifax for 11 years. I am filled with gratitude for the lovely people I have had the opportunity to work with and support during this time. I continue to find it a privilege to support others and be part of their wellness journey. Thank you all so much 🙏💕

Breech and posterior positions.
Did you know that we work with women who have breech or mal-positioned babies late in their pregnancy!

What's more, this treatment often doesn't even involve needles!! This is a natural, drug free, no hands on approach that encourages baby in to optimum positioning for birth. What's great is baby will only do so if they have room and are comfortable to do so.

The optimum time is from 34 weeks though I have worked with women further on this this. Just recently we had a successful turn of a breech baby at 37 weeks, allowing mum to have her natural birth at home 😊

For this treatment I will often see the expectant mother once. I will provide the treatment and information for a home care routine for next 10 days.

At the beginning of my acupuncture career I spent time with the antenatal clinic team at Calderdale Royal Hospital and also took extra training with a midwife acupuncturist to train to support women in pregnancy.

I genuinely love supporting women with fertility and pregnancy, having had such positive experiences myself.

In pregnancy we aim to support in a natural way and often see women for:
Early pregnancy nausea and sickness
Breech or mal-positioned babies
Provide a relaxing pre-birth treatment (this can be a nice gift for mum to be)
Induction treatment once overdue

Mens health!!
Thanks to my membership with the AAC and BAF I am able to offer my clients a home s***m testing service, giving them their results within days. The test measures 22 parameters of s***m health and is great feedback for those interested in their fertility, whether trying for a family naturally or assisted. I love that I get to support my clients to understand their health and work with them towards their family goals 🙂

My friend sent me this picture (original source unknown) and it made me smile. As acupuncturists we often find ourselves explaining to clients our reasoning for putting needles in one area of the body to help another. This picture reminds me of the wonderful, holistic approach that traditional chinese medicine acupuncture brings.

For example, for a throbbing full headache or migraine, we often use points in the feet! This draws energy away from the head and works with the affected meridian.
