At Southbourne we really enjoy having are special visitors from Tops Day Nursery. The relationships the children and residents are making are just wonderful. This week the children were learning new skills as well as doing art and playing games.

Well who doesn't love to play a game and especially one that is good for exercise as well. This afternoon residents enjoyed a game of curling and got rather competitive with one another. A fun afternoon enjoyed by all.

Here at Southbourne we have been collecting donations for the local foodbank as part of "The Big Help Out" that King Charles was asking everyone to do. Client Liaison Manager Laura and Activities Manager Jane went down with the donations which were gratefully received.

At Southbourne we like to acknowledge staff members when they receive long service awards. Betty from Housekeeping has been working here for 15 years and Claude from care has been working here for 5 years. Thank you both for all you have done over the years from all the residents and staff here at Southbourne.

Residents at Southbourne really do enjoy going on the minibus outings and visiting local areas. This trip they wanted to go to Poole Quay and admire all the lovely boats and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

What a wonderful weekend we had here at Southbourne celebrating the King's Coronation. Highlight was the street party where residents and their family members came in enjoyed wonderful food laid on by the dining team and had vocalist Paul entertaining everyone. Residents and family members were dancing and singing along as well.

Here at Southbourne, it is so important to us to say thank you to the wonderful team we have here in the home. This week we wanted to focus on the activities team and say a big thank you from all the residents and staff. We all think you all do a wonderful job and have a variety of activities for residents to join in.

Today we had two of the members from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra come in to perform to the residents and what a wonderful morning it was. They played a selection of classical and songs from musicals which had the residents tapping their toes along too. Thank you to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for having your members come and play to us here at Signature at Southbourne.

We had the very talented Czechmate come into Southbourne to perform to the residents. They gave a talk and played a selection of classical pieces for the residents to enjoy.
