I was born in Middlesex, UK, spent most of my childhood in Geneva, Nyon and Basel, Switzerland then returned to Dorset, UK in 1971. In 1976, I qualified as a Chiropodist at the Islington School of Chiropody in London. I then took time out to enjoy my family, spending 10 years of that time in Alabama and Montana, USA. I returned once again to Bournemouth, Dorset with my children in 2005. Over the y
ears my interest in natural health, ancient wisdom and energy healing has grown. My longing to understand life and assist those around me, set me off on an amazing journey of discovery and growth. In 2009, I became attuned to Reiki by Reiki Master, Mayan, whose meditation group I attended. This amazing experience led to deep healing and transformation on all levels. I started practising Qigong and changed to an organic, raw vegetarian diet. My physical health improved dramatically. Migraines, severe depression and eczema just dissapeared, inspiring me to continue further on this fascinating path of discovery. The more I learn, the more excited I get about life and the infinite choices and possibilities before us. In 2010, I felt ready to set up as a Reiki Practitioner and was overjoyed at the opportunity to join Leah at 'Bodymatters' in Broadstone. I couldn't have found a more wonderful place to grow as a therapist. In May of 2011, I completed my Usui/Tibetan Advanced Reiki Master Training with Reiki Master William Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training. This was an incredibly powerful and intense experience. William is an excellent teacher and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and been able to share this experience with so many wonderful new friends from all over the world. In June 2011, I felt ready to set up as an independent Reiki Therapist in Wareham. I love sharing Reiki and assisting others on their healing paths. I am filled with gratitude for this journey called life and all that it brings. I wonder where I'll be guided next! I love Reiki because it is such a gentle yet deeply powerful therapy. I believe Reiki to be the ultimate Relaxation Therapy. For it is while the client is deeply relaxed that the magic happens. Reiki creates gentle shifts that assist us in healing ourselves and our lives, in fact all around us. We learn to listen to and trust ourselves again. I believe that our health is our responsibility. Whatever is happening in our lives is the result of our perception, beliefs and the choices we have made. Everything we have thought, felt and done up until this moment has created our lives and health as they are now. If we choose, we can carry on in this direction, but we are free at any moment to make changes. Whatever we choose to think, feel and do right now will create our future. If we are not happy with any aspect of our lives, then it may be time for change. What sort of life have you created up until now? What sort of life would you love to have? We can choose to create the life of our dreams! We can take little steps or giant leaps. Reiki will assist us on this journey. It is so important to give ourselves the gift of quiet time and rest, to enable us to listen to our hearts and heal our lives. When we accept that we are responsible for the choices we make, then we have the power to make changes. It's up to each one of us to choose what feels good for us. There is no right or wrong.
