There's something that happens when women gather with intention.

The noise of the week fades. The list in your head goes quiet. And for a couple of hours, you remember who you are beneath all of it.

The Sacred Goddess Gathering is an immersive evening designed to bring you back to yourself, through channelled guided meditation, crystal singing bowls, sound healing, oracle card readings, spiritual stretching and journaling, all held in the sanctuary of Mayura.

Facilitated by Sam from Natural Health Sanctuary, this is a space to exhale, reconnect and awaken something that's been waiting.

Two ticket options available: with or without a goodie bag (worth ÂŁ15, including aromatherapy anointing oil, a healing crystal, Reiki infused salt ritual, eye mask, Goddess journaling book and oracle card to take home!).

The beauty of yoga often lies in the smallest adjustments.
A subtle shift in the position of the hands can be enough to influence the flow of energy through the body.

Hasta Mudras invite us into a deeper curiosity about the body’s intelligence. As attention rests on the breath and these gentle gestures, the nervous system begins to settle, the breath finds new pathways, and the mind naturally softens.

Last week, we explored how a mudra can support deep, grounded belly breathing.

This week, we begin to notice how a simple change in hand position can encourage the breath to rise and expand into a different space within the body.

Next week, we bring these elements together through the full three-part Dirgha Pranayama practice.

The depth of yoga isn’t found in complex postures, but in awareness, and in the quiet power of small, intentional shifts.

In yoga, even the smallest details can transform the way energy moves through the body. ✨

Hasta Mudras are subtle hand gestures that influence the flow of prana. In this first practice, we explore Jnana/Gyan Mudra, where the thumb and index finger gently meet, with the hands resting palms down, close to the groin.

This simple positioning helps open energetic channels and encourages the breath to move naturally into the deep belly.

The key is not to force the breath. Instead, allow the body to soften… the abdomen to expand… and the breath to deepen in its own time.

Often, just this small adjustment of the hands can create a noticeable shift, a calmer nervous system, a quieter mind, and breathing that feels more effortless and spacious.

These subtle practices are explored much more deeply on the Mayura Yoga Foundation Course starting on 7th June, where we begin to understand how the body, breath and energy systems work together.

We want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Becks for guiding such a beautiful and successful recent Beginners Course at Mayura 🤍
