Welcome to the Dining Room 🩵

As our regular visitors have noticed we are encouraging family visits to either take place in the wellbeing suit or the dining room, This prompts a tranquil and content atmosphere for our residents and loved ones, we would like, family, friends and residents to have the most pleasant experience within our home 🙏 - we have introduced a Hydration station, so please, please help yourself to tea and coffee and some biccy's and a collection of soft drinks to!! We look forward to seeing you soon 👋

What a pleasant week at Milton House 🩵

We received letters from our new pen pales, our residents enjoyed spending time together writing our responses "A bit about me". This was a great reminiscing session and was lovely hearing each individual story and path 🫶

We had our lovely therapy dog, Lady and her human Kay come to visit us 🐕‍🦺.

Did you know? - spending time with a doggo can reduce stress and increase feel good hormones like, serotonin & dopamine. 🙏

To end the week we enjoyed another brilliant virtual Quiz with our sister home Whittingham House! And the winners were.......
MILTON HOUSE!! 🙌🎉🩵

What a special week at Milton house 🩵

One of our activities, new for January is called " A bit about me" and each week a new question will be asked and as you can see this week's question was "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?" And as you can see we had a wide variety and what a treat it was, talking about places they have been in the past and memories they have made ✨ even some of our staff decided to tell us where they would like to go 😘🤣

We had lady our Therapy dog🐕‍🦺🐾 and Kay come and visit us for lots of fluffy cuddles! ✨

Of course we had our weekly virtual quiz with Whittingham House and our bingo session with Juliet!

Wellbeing Wednesday 💅

Sing songs and a dance 🪩

Arts and crafts and breathing exercises! 🕉️

Oh the list goes on!

Thankyou to the family's who have brought in dvds, plant clippings & cards it all helps alot! 🙏

HAPPY NEW YEAR 💙🫧✨

For Milton House 2025 has seen a series of changes, we have been lucky enough to have an extension built with some beautiful rooms and added touches, our garden has had a complete revamp and wow what a summer we had, memories have been made with our amazing residents, staff and family and friends. We have had a special 2025 with residents past and present, loved ones far and near and 2026 is going to be just as special as the last!

Good Evening 👋

We are currently half way through the Milton House January, Activities/Events calender, everyday is different throughout the month and their is of course something for everyone! 🫶

A massive help would be donations of old Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary.cards, we can use for arts and crafts & plant cuttings would be amazing, indoor and outdoor plants would be hugely appreciated! & Old DVD'S would be amazing 👍

What a beautiful moment ❤️

This week has been a week of changes, due to the flu and due to procedures in place we had to cancel our visit from the barons court choir, (school next door) gutted for not only the children but our residents, instesd the lovely, lovely children next door designed and created their own Christmas cards for our residents and it certainly gave them a boost ✨🎄❤️

Evening All 👋
As we all know this time of year there is all sorts going around so here's just a little update of the steps we are taking to make the home as safe as possible! 🙌

We currently have a flu outbreak within the home. It is essential that infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures are followed strictly at all times to protect our residents, colleagues, and visitors.

Staff shale be wearing .....
• Face masks at all times and appropriate PPE must be worn during all close contact with residents.
• Residents who are displaying flu-like symptoms must remain isolated in their rooms until they have fully recovered.

VISITING ARRANGEMENTS

- Visits must take place in the wellbeing suite, resident’s bedroom or the dining room only.
- Families must be informed of the outbreak and asked to wear face masks during their visit.
- Visitors who are high-risk or unwell must be advised to postpone their visit until the outbreak has been declared over. ❌
