On the 10th January 2024 Katie and her family’s world as they knew it changed.
What began with a small pain in the lower back turned into a month long hospital stay for Katie along with complete paralysis from the chest down.
Katie Brian is the lovely lady you have probably all heard of. She runs a Piercing and Aesthetics business along Southchurch Road called “Foxhie” with her husband Matt and her two young sons.
Katie is FOREVER being selfless. If she’s not trying to raise money then she is trying to help others as much as she can (including rushing round to rescue a bird from my house that fell through the chimney!) and now, it’s time to help her back!
Katie has been given the amazing news that she is finally able to go home on Monday. However, as you can imagine, everything needs to be altered and made wheelchair friendly along with needing a whole new load of equipment to help her everyday needs.
Katie has been told as part of her rehabilitation journey, to make both short and long term goals. Katie’s main goal is to get back to running her business as soon as she can. This means re altering her studio to ensure it is wheelchair and disability friendly and they will need our help I’m sure!
I am going to be arranging lots of fundraising events if anyone would like to participate then drop me a message!
