On Sat 23 Oct 1-4pm I'm delighted to be hosting a Workshop for in Leigh on Sea, set up by danielgroomyoga (Dan used to work with me at Wellbeing Yoga & went home to set up his own studio - which is doing great). Tending to Your Heart: A Workshop Designed to Release You & Show you How to Live with more LOVE in Your Life! With Senior Yoga Teacher & Founder of Wellbeing Yoga, Jessica Livingstone

When we physically stagnate - e.g. working at desks for long periods - and when we feel hurt our heart physically contracts. This contraction affects our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. Most often we “shut down” or “close off”. We feel less connected to life, less joyful and can feel down or resentful. If you can relate to this then this is for you.

This workshop draws on Jessica’s 13 years as a yoga & meditation teacher as well as self-development mentor and her passion for mental, physical and emotional health. We will delve into the effect that an enlivened heart has on how we feel. We will also explore how to live a life that is more centred in the heart instead of in our heads where we are often dominated by thought processes that don't serve us.

We will look at how to live from a place of love, and compassion, instead of the opposite - living in stress, busy-ness/resentment. We will explore heart mantras, meditation and breathing techniques, combined with physical movements as well as asana (postures), that delve into the heart space. This will leave you feeling connected, released and loving once more.

Really looking forwards to offering another beginner course in April. Please do share with others who may be interested 🙏❤️

On Saturday 10th April, our 4-week Yoga for Beginners course starts with Daniel Groom.

This course introduces new starters and those wishing to connect afresh to their yoga practice and covers many of the popular yoga postures and safe alignment and explains the benefits they bring.

You will learn easy to understand breath, relaxation and meditation techniques with the opportunity to ask lots of questions.

Daniel also explains the meaning of various yoga terms and will go into basic history and philosophy. You will finish up by being introduced to the various forms of yoga that we offer at Anahata Yoga Centre. In discussion with Daniel, this will help you choose which classes to try after the 4-Week course comes to an end.

This course is hosted online by Zoom. Saturdays, 10th April – 1st May, 11am-12:15pm, £65 per person.
